We got this hotel last minute from the Welcome Center in Baddeck. We had been busy all day and had planned to drive another hour or so off Cape Breton Island before stopping for the night, but we were just too tired. The hotel was just fine for us! Great views, the room was large with a balcony. Our room was was clean, beds were comfy. I will agree that it is a bit outdated, but we had everything we needed at a fair price! There was a fun presentation in the dining room that evening that we enjoyed. The hotel is close enough to town to enjoy restaurants and shops. The breakfast was very good. We would stay here again. No complaints!

We spent two nights here as part of a tour group. While options are limited in Baddeck, I hope there is better than this. On the positive side, the room was very large with a great view of the lake.

On the negative side, this is a 60's style Motor Lodge. Housekeeping was slipshod at best. One day our room was relatively clean; the next day it wasn't acceptable. Our building was an old wooden building. The floors creaked, were uneven and in places felt soft. Screens didn't fit tightly in the windows or keep the bugs out. The building had been recently painted but a sow wearing make-up is still a sow.

All in all, not a great experience.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. Stayed in the Main Lodge - room was clean and had a beautiful view. Had a problem with getting one station on the TV, but it was quickly repaired. The food and service in the restaurant was good. Don't have any complaints about out stay and would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at this resort for 2 nights in mid-July. We had a spacious and clean cabin at the rear of the property with a magnificent view of the Bras D'Or Lakes. The accomodation is rather dated, but for us it provided the perfect ambience for where we were. The location was just a short stroll to the centre of town

The staff were very hospitable and helpful. We had dinner there the first night of our stay that was very average, Dinner, the second night, at Two Bouys, right in town, was much better.

We were very fortunate to be among the first guests to view an interactive film presentation about Cape Breton that was extremely well done. A big hats off to the producers and presenter. I would suggest that clips be put on the resort website as they would give prospective guests a great overview of the region and the people that have chosen to live there.

We stayed one night on our drive through Cabot trail. The property has a cute little trail as well as a outdoor pool etc. Their nightly little presentation on Baddeck was very informative. The rooms were clean but the facility a little jaded and dated.

We loved our visit to the Alexander Graham Bell museum, the ceilidh and the walk through the main street. We also loved our visit to the Bird island with Puffins, Bald eagles and many other birds were really delightful.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Silver Dart. We stayed in a chalet. The view of the lake from our room was incredible. The other notable feature of our stay was the wonderfully comfortable bed! We had the best, most restful sleep. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The show about the area was vey well done and very informative. Our chalet had been recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. It is a nice walk into the quaint town of Baddeck from the Silver Dart. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely choose them again if and when we revisit the area.

Check in was very informative. Our room was in the Main lodge, a renovated King. This is an older hotel than we usually visit, but the room has been renovated, linens were great, view of the bay amazing! Only comment on the room cleanliness would be a need for more attention to detail, maybe have someone else recheck the room, as the carpet was not vacuumed. I was picking up stuff from the carpet throughout the stay.
We ate dinner at the restaurant, with a front row seat to the view of the bay. Meal, service were excellent and good value. I find hotels in this area are somewhat pricey, but was able to get a good price for this room.
