We stayed here right at the end of our two week holiday for 3 nights. It was a last minute booking when a lot of other places were already booked and therefore I felt a bit reticent. I needn't have worried, because the place was lovely. Rolande, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly on arrival and we were enthralled by the Segway bike that he zipped around on between chalets.

We had a two bedroom chalet and it had all the amenities that we required. The bathroom was all clean and up to date and the shower was probably the best one we'd had all holiday. The wi-fi here is pretty good also.

Like another reviewer mentioned it would have been great to have a bit of a 'starter pack' of tea/coffee and some fresh milk. It means such a lot when you have been travelling for hours to get to a place. I agree that being about to buy coffee at the office isn't really what you want to have to do. We left some instant coffee in the chalet so hopefully the next visitors will be able to use that!
I thought that we may also get a bit of noise from adjacent chalets because they were hot evenings when we were there. But not a bit of it, it was all calm and peaceful.
The view from the chalet is nice and Rolande has made an effort to create some nature walks around the site. There is also a small children's play area, picnic benches and a fire pit.

The chalets are a ten minute drive from central Baddeck and if you are arriving on a Sunday evening the only grocery store in the town is not open on a Sunday evening, So make sure that you stock up with supplies before you arrive. We made this mistake.

We stayed in a one bedroom chalet with separate living/kitchen area. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the location was great. It was far enough outside of Baddeck to be very quiet, but close enough that it only takes a few minutes to get into town. Roland was very helpful and provided us with everything we needed. The attached sunset picture was taken from the room.

Stayed at Hunter's Mountain Chalet while exploring Cape Breton. The chalet was a modular duplex that was very comfortable for the 2 couples that originally booked to 2 nights. We added an additional night in order to explore the Fortress of Louisbourg. Roland, the owner, was very "hands on" during our stay; giving good advice and meeting all of our needs while we were there. He seemed like an old friend that was there to make our stay as enjoyable as he could. We had no problem asking for the additional night which he immediately agreed to.

The chalet was clean and well maintained. Television and cable worked fine. Baddeck is about a 12 to 15 minute drive and is the closes place to find something to eat. We all loved Baddeck and Cape Brenton. It was nice to be able to have a comfortable, quiet place to rest after a full day of touring the area.

Thank you Roland!!

Room Tip: HIghwheeler Cafe in Baddeck is the place to go for breakfast. Everything there is great. We bought box lunches to go from there for our drive on the Cabbot Trail and we were glad that we weren't stuck trying to find someplace to eat lunch; because there aren't many on the trail.

I really enjoyed my two nights stay...The Chalet was spotless and had all the accommodations we needed and then some...Rolland was the perfect "Hostess" when we arrived. Even though we arrived later than planned...he was there to greet us and personally show us the way to our chalet. He even took the time to show us around the apartment and explain everything . I personally would recommend Hunters Mountain Chalet...I most definitely will go again if ever up that way.
