This is a beautiful beach on the Northumberland Strait side of Cape Breton Island enjoyed by locals for generations, slowly being discovered by the rest of the world. The water is noticeably warmer than other beaches in Cape Breton. It is a very family friendly and safe beach because there is a large sandbar and little danger of any undertow. There are also walking and hiking trails nearby that are suitable for cross country running.
