Gray Gables is a beautiful, clean Bed and Breakfast. It is in a quiet location with a breathtaking ocean view out the bedroom windows. The B and B is very tastefully decorated and very clean throughout. We stayed for two days and the breakfast menu is different each day. Breakfast was very tastefully presented and delicious. The hosts, Jacqui and Dave are very friendly and helpful and you can't help but feel welcome in their home. The bedrooms were so comfortable and we had a wonderful sleep both nights. We booked for 1 night at first and later decided to change it to 2 nights. Because of this, we ended out changing rooms the second day. The upstairs room had a big king size bed and was even more comfy than the first. It is located about 45 minutes from the airport. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in that area.

Room Tip: The bigger upstairs room has a better view of the ocean, but the downstairs room has a bigger window...

Being very fussy as to where we stay, Gray Gables and the owners far exceeded our expectations and standards. Super clean, comfortable, large rooms, exceptional view, close to beaches, trails, shopping and dining. We are recommending this B&B to all and will return whenever visiting the East coast. I am now hooked on the B & B idea but only if they are of as high a standard as Gray Gables. Thank you Dave and Jacqui.

We stayed at the Gray Gables for a one night stay
day week. Our room was huge, with plenty of closet space and room for luggage. We had a king bed with a fireplace and separate sitting area...with great views of the water. The owners are very interesting hosts with excellent recommendations of the surrounding area. The only shortcoming is the hot breakfast but could have offered some fruit. Very minor point for what was a very pleasant stay.

Our curling team had the pleasure of occupying all rooms at Gray Gables in Feb 2014. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. While we weren't there in the summer the beauty of the location shone through the snow and cold - it would be spectacular in summer. Jacqui and Dave were very accommodating and wonderful hosts. We even had the living room to ourselves to commiserate after our curling losses! Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Jacqui makes the best chocolate chip cookies. Would definitely return.

We wanted to find a spot not too far from Halifax, but near the sea and we were delighted to spend 4 nights at Gray Gables in Chester. We enjoyed a downstairs room with large bathroom and walk-in closet and large window overlooking Mahone Bay. Hosts Jacqui and Dave are delightful hardworking people who strive to make their guests feel at home. BOTH of them are great cooks and took turns serving up delicious breakfasts featuring local fruit and berries and maple syrup. They were also very helpful in pointing us toward scenic spots to visit and top quality places to eat. We felt very much at home and told everybody we met on the reat of our trip about Gray Gables!
