The location of this B&B is prime and the room was spacious and quite comfortable. Breakfast was a touch earlier than we'd have preferred, from 0730 to 0830. However, upon checkout we found the host to be very rude. We had not yet checked out at 3 min past checkout time when the host was already trying to hurry us out. We then gathered our belongings and were on the way out fifteen minutes later, when we were intercepted by the host, who proceeded to give us an honest-to-God lecture on respect and B&B etiquette. My husband had to basically step in and almost raise his tone of voice to put a stop to the host's berating. We promptly paid and left.

While we can understand the host's point if view and are sincerely sorry if we disrupted his schedule, his rigidity and lack of tact severely impacted our overall impression of the stay. We would be hard-pressed to recommend this B&B to any fellow travelers.

This wonderful B&B is situated right beside a beautiful vineyard (Grand-Pré) and and we were surrounded with grape vines, tasty grapes and amazing views. The room was very comfortable and the host was very welcoming. We went for supper at the well-rated restaurant Le Caveau and were able to walk there as the owner had lit beautiful candles in lanterns, all the way down the path that led us to the restaurant. What a nice touch! We were also served a beautiful warm breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit and coffee. My husband and I would definatly recommand this place! Thank you for a great stay.

We only had one night at the Olde Lantern Inn, but it was superb. It is a very friendly b&b that is warm and inviting. The b&b was built by the owner and he has tastefully decorated it (It is thankfully not frilly, like too many other b&bs). The breakfast was fantastic and they were so kind and accommodating to my gluten free wife.

The best part of the Inn is its location. Walk out the backdoor and in only 10 mins walking (across the vineyard), you arrive at a wonderful overlook of Grand Pre, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Walking 5 mins the other direction brings you to a wonderful winery where we ate out on the patio and had a very nice meal. There was live music playing and a friendly crowd. Walking home across the vineyard in the dark was a breeze - the path across the vineyard was lit by a row of a candle enclosed lanterns. A perfect end to a great day in Grand Pre.
