We took a chance to visit Ottawa House on the Bay of Fundy. It was well worth the trip. It is run by kind-heart local people and provides some fascinating history, especially if you walk through the old rooms

We happened upon Ottawa House by accident on the hunt for lighthouses on a recent visit to Parrsboro, NS. The location was a complete surprise to us. I appreciated the history of this house which was the summer home of Sir Charles Tupper amongst others. The story of this area was also well told by a pamphlet they had on hand. Interestingly at one point in its history the location nearby was the landing point for a ferry that crossed the Bay, and also one that went to Saint John, New Brunswick. The beach below the house is also workth exploring.

We went here today for a great tour so much history in the building. Loved the tour and everything we seen and heard. Donations are accepted. It's all done by volunteers so a must.

I love looking at antiques and historic buildings, and imagining the people who lived there and used the items. This is just the place for taking you back in time. It is right on the shore of the ocean as well, with lots of pretty rose hips and a deck to relax and enjoy the view.

It is wonderful to see all the work the volunteers have done with the Ottawa House. Our family used to stay here in the fifties and I am happy to see that the building has been cared for. Thank you to Mr. Gilbert for a great tour. Although the artifacts are not from the original owners, it is nice to see all the donations fill the rooms. The information is well set out in the various rooms. There should be something of interest for most people.
Admission by donation, but a donation is well warranted.

My wife and I stopped here in August on our 2018 cross country road trip and enjoyed the train exhibit that was featured when we arrived. This museum has lots pf parking and interesting exhibits. We were impressed with the staff who provided a good explanation of key points of history. It’s a must see stop on the Glooscap Trail. We found it quite interesting and peaceful.

A great little free museum of a local family with loads of interesting items throughout the house. The staff is very friendly, the views are great, and well worth a voluntary small donation. We spent about an hour here, plenty of things to read & look at. We enjoyed being able to walk around on our own self-guided tour.

We were given a guided tour of Prime Minister Sir Charles Tupper's summer home by the charming Mr. Gilbert. There was so much to see, so many lovely rooms of heritage furniture, clothing, and much more. The views are spectacular! Homemade strawberry shortcake for $5. was offered when we were there. Yum!
