As we were staying in Port Hood for a couple of nights and we didn't want to drive to Mabou, we decided to try the Clove Hitch. It's a busy place but there isn't really any competition in the area which is more the reason than the fabulous food.
Still, I had a very good Greek salad which was reasonably priced at $8.50. My husband had the halibut special that was also well priced at $17. His halibut was slightly over-cooked and dry but overall the meals were good, the service good and the prices very good for the Maritimes.
I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at this restaurant but if you are passing by, you will get a good meal with friendly service for a decent price. Their sign also said they were open till 11 which in this part of the world is almost unheard of. We have seen so many restaurants that close at 8:00 pm or even earlier.
