We had visited the Creamery and decided to walk along the trail when we came across this place. We ate lunch in the carriage restaurant which was a novelty! The service was friendly and quick and the food very tasty. Afterwards, we spent an hour or so looking around the gift shop and at the antiques displayed in the cafe. Very picturesque and I would certainly recommend a visit.

We did a tour of the Northumberland coast and stopped here for lunch. We had to wait for a while but the train car next door was a cool (air conditioned) place to stay. The meal was delicious and a great place to stop if you plan on visiting Tatamagouche - for excellent craft beer- or to Malagash for some very fine wine. We did not stay at the hotel though it looked like a cool place to stay. We ate at the restaurant only but we are planning to go next year. The idea of staying in a refurbished caboose is very attractive.

A quirky place to stay; a unique experience - sleeping in a box car. The "room" was comfortable and the en-suite functional. We even had our own exterior table and chairs where we had a drink before going along to the dining car for dinner - which I must add, was superb!

We spent the night in caboose #10! It was very comfortable and had plenty of room! We had a king bed, living room with a kitchen and a bathroom with shower! We had lunch and dinner in the dining car and both were excellent! After dinner, I went into the lounge car to catch up on email but I ended up chatting with other guests. Great place! There is free wifi but hotspots around the property.

Room Tip: Wifi is free but not always available in rooms. Hotspots around the property.

We thought it would be fun to spend a night in a converted train Caboose but we were wrong. the idea is very good but the quality of this property is terrible. The Caboose is actually a box car. It is furnished with couches and chairs that have been salvaged from the dump or a garage sale.( Dirty torn at the seams etc.) the internet was not available unless you chose to sit outside in the rain to access it. the restarant food was no better. they try to present it as a fancy plate but they fail because there food is poor. I chose a pork tenderloin dish and was served a 1cm thick piece of meet that had been put through a meat processor to break up the connective tissue and make it soft enough to chew. this whole property changed our whole outlook on our vacation. we were very impressed with Nova Scotia and New Brunswick until we stayed there and left feeling dirty and taken advantage of. Avoid this hotel at all costs. sleep in your car at the walmart would be a better experience
