Needed to get out of town to decompress. A short drive from toronto & a world away from gridlock & downtown summer heat. Great guest service from the moment I made the reservation. When we arrived it was as if we had already met. Nice room, showing a bit of age but still inviting. Just came back from a wonderful dinner. Not to mention the best breakfast of blueberry pancakes - thin, light & berry-ful. This is the #1 place in the region!!!

Gorgeous locally sourced breakfasts in genteel surroundings. 5* fine dining that one would expect (but not always get) in a big cosmopolitan city. Service by the motivated, youthful staff is excellent, and we've been back at different times of the year, staff may change but the level of service remains high both in inn & restaurant. No one is always 100% perfect, what I mean is they're consistently welcoming, gracious and professional.

Historic building, very interesting to ramble around in. Fireplace IIRC, parlour, pub room with bookcases & boardgames where you can have tea or dessert.

We've only stayed at the separate guest multi level 'cottage' which is more like a lodge with a sunken common area boasting a stone, central, woodburning fireplace, wood provided, with piano & bookcases. We splurge on the loft style Select Suites with whirlpool, & gas fireplace, 2nd private exit via groundfloor porch with seating.

3 'zone' roomy washrooms work great for a family, & chair can be set close to washstand so small ones can be independent, just watch tots don't fall into tub of course.

2 person sofabed faces fireplace.

On occasion we were surprised by very thoughtful welcome pkgs for our 2 kids.

You get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Select Suites are loft style with bed up winding stairs, so better if mobility not an issue. High ce...

We were looking for a quick weekend escape. We came across the Little Inn and a package of two nights, two breakfast and a dinner. We need to thank Kristina at the front desk who helped us book the right room and for going the extra mile in getting us Ashley MacIsaac concert tickets. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, we kept Erin at the front desk very busy helping us to get settled and organized. Thank you Erin. We stayed in Room 24. Lots of room and space. Nice large bathroom. You can see pictures on their website. The room was very clean and fresh. The bonus was a screened in patio off our room. Sadly the weather was still a little cool for us to enjoy. The staff were very helpful. We asked for ice/bathrobes/dvd player/corkscrew....all delivered quickly and with a smile. They even serve complimentary tea/coffee they brought to the room as well. The bed was extremely comfortable. The meal we had on Saturday evening was AMAZINGLY delicious. I highly recommend the Beef. The menu selection isn't large but I believe they try to find local food suppliers and I can only guess that the chef works some crazy magic in the kitchen to make the food taste so good. Be sure to ask Darrin to make you a specialty coffee at the end of the meal. Thank you Little Inn.

We have not stayed at the Little Inn in a while, but the reason isn't because we didn't like our accommodations. They were beautiful and the meals were delicious. It's just that a person can go to NYC and enjoy the same kind of atmosphere - for the same price. On our last stay, which was more than a year ago, we were not treated kindly by the front desk clerk who acted quite put out when we registered at the front desk and during checkout. In fact, she was borderline rude. That said, when my husband and I have considered places that are close by for a getaway, we no longer consider the Little Inn. They seem to have the kind of clients they like/want and in turn, I find the incessant email information-sharing (newsletters from the Little Inn) to be a bit of a turn-off. The atmosphere of this hotel is not friendly. The rooms are very nice but again for the same price, I'd take a trip to Toronto or NYC.

Room Tip: Rooms across the street from the main lodge were beautiful, very nice and very quiet - were also fur...

We stayed at the Little Inn for a long weekend and had a lovely time. The inn is a historical building, which gives it a lot of character, and is located in the heart of Bayfield. The property is well-maintained and warm, and our room was spacious and clean. Our package included breakfast everyday, and we were very pleased with the breakfast offerings. Our room also came with dinner for one night, which we also really enjoyed. We were also able to have them pack up a nice picnic lunch for us one day that we could take out with us. The staff were helpful and friendly, and we would definitely come back to the Little Inn in the future.

We have been coming to the Little Inn for about 10 years, often with friends, with a group, and this time, just the two of us. The Little Inn is the most wonderful, relaxing escape from the everyday stresses we find in our world today. The inn is peaceful, the staff is absolutely delightful, the food is incredible and while there, one quickly slows down and relaxes.
This time, we sat in the library with the wood fire, reading and simply enjoying the atmosphere of this beautiful, elegant inn.
Thank you to all of you at the Little Inn. Of course, we will keep coming back.
