We stopped in for a mid-afternoon break and found their classic lime margarita great. From what we saw of what others were eating, it is fairly common fare and I don't know whether it's fair to mention food since we weren't partaking. But the setting along the canal was lovely. There were an abundance of pesky flies, but they probably can't do anything about that. Service was prompt.

Had dinner here 2 weeks ago. The outdoor seating is quite lovely but we had to move inside due to rain...the indoor setting was not so nice. The margaritas were ok but far from the best I've had. The service was friendly although our server seemed rather uniformed about the menu. The jalapeno relish given to our table was dried up in the bottle...when we asked for a fresh bottle it appeared that they had simply poured water into the container to thin it down. It was literally green water...Not good. Overall we were not impressed and will not return. Sorry, I hate to give a bad review, but I love good Mexican food and this was not good.

The setting is the reason to come to this restaurant. Down a few steps along the Tay river, the outdoor tables are covers in colorful umbrellas and there are lovely flower planters, giving it a nice festive feel. The food is bland Mexican. We eat had a baby burrito off the lunch menu. I appreciated the fact that they had a vegetarian option, but the plate was a little empty; maybe 3 streads of lettuce to accompany my burrito, beans and rice. The beans were a little over tomatoy and the rice was dry. The burrito was stuffed with mixed frozen vegetables. It was edible. and the beer was good and the setting was perfect.

California-style Mexican food. The restaurant has a patio overlooking the Tay River. The server was friendly, helpful and gave us a great table inside looking out at the Tay River since all the tables on the patio were already taken. Dinner was excellent, we had a fajita, half chicken and half steak, lots of vegetables, guacamole, tomatoes, sour cream etc. The steak was cooked to our liking, medium rare, it was not dry, very juicy. The service was excellent. I had a Spanish beer with my dinner but also had a very tasty sangria before. Great place to eat downtown Perth. Prices were very good. Worth trying. Good ambiance.

We have visited before and always been happy. The quality of the food, service & atmosphere is superb and the prices reasonable. It's all good, so it's no big wonder why this place has been here so long. The best place to eat in Perth!
