Stayed again in the King Suite at Newsroom Suites and like previous visits enjoyed the stay immensely. Room comes equipped with a nice kitchenette, fresh coffee beans with milk and cream in the fridge, a very comfortable King size bed and nicely finished bathroom. Nice location for visits to the wineries and just across the street from two fine restaurants, Pomodorra, and East and Main. Grace was very welcoming when we arrived. All and all another great weekend in PEC, with a visit to Slickers in Bloomfield for unbelieveable ice cream. We will be back in the summer again as it is a great getaway weekend within easy distance from Ottawa. Thanks again Newsroom Suites!

We had booked a suite at this property through a Booking website. When we arrived, the owner advised that due to a massive rain storm a few days earlier, the roofing company would be on site at 9:00 a.m. As the suites are on the top floor, this would have been rather inconvenience as this was a special occasion for us. The owner waved our non-refundable fee through the booking agency and even referred us to a local suite across the street (Pomodoro). We had a look at the room at Newsroom Suites; it looked very cosy and inviting.

So, although we didn't stay, I wanted to give a hands-up to the owner for being so honest and helpful in finding us alternative accommodation and even ensuring we had a reservation for dinner. (See review of "East & Main Restaurant").

I will note that the initial appearance of the property is very off-putting. The outside is run down; needs paint and the driveway is not paved; muddy. The entrance really should be closed off from the newspaper office. A bit of sprucing up would make a world of difference in the first impression.

You wouldn't even know this was a hotel to see it, just looks like a slightly run down semi-detached house, but the staff (who were working on putting out the next edition of the local paper) were great, the suite was lovely with kitchen, sitting room and bedroom. The bathroom was huge with a large stand-up shower and a claw foot tub. Right in the middle of Wellington, this was a great touring location. Would stay again, don't let the outside fool you!

Excellent hotel in the center of charming Wellington. We stayed in room 3 on the ground floor. The room was spacious and modern with a comfortable king sized bed, kitchenette and huge bathroom. Everything inside looked freshly remodelled. The owners obviously have taken a lot of care with the place.

This place came recommended to us by friends, and it lived up to the expectations. We stayed in Room #3. Cozy bed, kitchenette with coffee/tea etc. Fabulous bathroom. Loved the seating area out front to enjoy morning coffee. Close to everything. We will highly recommend this place ourselves to friends and look forward to our next visit!

A great hotel. Kathleen and her husband were friendly and helpful, and the room was superb. Quiet, comfortable, and clean, with plenty of amenities. It is located directly across the street from two great restaurants, and a nice coffee shop as well. I even left a dress shirt hanging up in the closet, which they returned to me via mail at no cost. I would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed here for a few nights and it was like having our own little apartment. The only thing was that it was very noisy every morning when regulars to the breakfast restaurant across the street are coming and going (I don't necessarily want to wake up at 7 a.m. when on vacation). There is, however, an AMAZING dinner restaurant right across the street!
