“Just another farm?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

I love different era farms. The difference of coarse is author L.M. Montgomery. She is a great author which has past the test of time! Her books still being read and enjoyed. Thus I enjoyed being on location.

“fun for fans”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

I wouldn't be a fan of the books or show but went with my wife to take pictures for our friend who would not be able to make the trip. We were expecting it to be full on a warm midday but it was not all that bad. You can visit the house and surrounding woods and for a little extra, you can visit the authors home nearby.
The house is well kept and the grounds are very neat and tidy. Probably worth it's entrance fee.

“Too touristic”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

Unless you are a great admirer of the books, there is no point in paying the entrance fee. The house is nice, but not any different from any other restoration from that time. Paying 30CAD to walk a trail in the woods or see a place where a house used to stand at... well that is too much in my opinion.
The kids (6-16) enjoyed the place, but since none of them is very excited about the books it seemed a waste of time and money, there are better trails in more beautiful settings in the island.

“Men it's not too bad”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

A business trip brought me out to PEI, and my wife wanted to come along and extend our stay with a view to visiting Cavendish and Anne of Green Gables. The day we drove to Cavendish from Charlottetown was a perfect sunny and warm day. The grounds of Anne of Green Gables were beautiful. The price for admission was reasonable. Pay the extra $2 to visit the author Lucy Maude Montgomery's home. We met the author's relatives at the store, who in turn, signed our purchased Anne of Green Gables book. The grounds, gardening and trails were beautiful. You could see how the author was inspired and wrote about these specific places in her world famous book. There are tourists from around the world here. I had overheard that Anne of Green gables is mandatory reading for students in Japan.

Men, if your wife wants to really explore this place, let her indulge - besides, the Green Gables Golf Course is right next door.

“Must see if you grew up with Anne of Green Gables!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

Loved the attraction because it brought the book to life. If you didn't read the book or see the movie, the "wow" affect is not there.
