The cottages were quite old and a little run down. Also the place was fairly expensive for what we got. However, otherwise we were pleased. It was clean and since we hadn't booked ahead, we were fortunate to get something. The owners were also very nice and helpful, allowing us to use a smaller cabin than they thought we would fit into with our four kids. They also gave us some of their water later in the evening so we wouldn't have to go back to the stores.

Really nice and clean cottages. Walking distance to Cavendish boardwalk, glow in the dark mini golf and sandspit. Really great restaurant right beside the cottages. Really enjoyed the cottages. What we really liked is you can stay daily, so you can stay a few days to a week.

We winged our entire trip to the Maritimes, it was a jump-in-the-car-and-go type of trip. This means that we didn't have our accommodation booked beforehand, and had to find a new place to stay each night. We were in Cavendish July 3rd, right before the big Kenny Chesney concert was happening, and we were lucky to find this great place (as we later found out that almost all of Cavendish books up a year in advance for this concert). We were given Cottage number 5, a two bedroom cottage, right by the fire pit. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, and spacious. We had a lovely fire under the stars, and really enjoyed our front deck for a drink. The lady at the front desk was very accommodating, and recommended the restaurant Chez Yvonne for a bite to eat which we really enjoyed. When I get the opportunity to come back to PEI/Cavendish I would definitely stay there again.

We've been staying at Cavendish Lodge and Cottages for several years now with our 5 families. It's location is in walking distance to the Boardwalk, Sandspit, Shining Waters etc. Cottages have always been clean and well maintained. Kids love the backyard (basketball, volleyball and plenty of room for a soccer match or flying a kite). Evenings by one of the campfire pits. Booked again for this summer and extending our stay.

We made a road trip from Grand Falls New Brunswick for 2 nights at the Cavendish Lodge and Cottages. It was easy to find, beautifully maintained and extremely comfortable.

We were 3 families booked into 3 2 bedroom cottages. We were side by side and the deck on the front made a great meeting/drinking/eating spot for all the kids and adults.

In our cottage we were 2 adults and 4 kids and we never once found ourselves tripping over one another.

We loved the convenient location. Close to Sandspit, close to the beautiful Cavendish beach and a short walk to some neat shops at the boardwalk.

The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

we were not too happy we couldn't find a place right at the beach, so we booked a couple of nights at this lodge and we hardly missed being close to the beach. It is located right at the entrance of the one the Cavendish Provincial park ( beach). We could have walk but it was 5 minutes in the car. The lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful, she gave us really good advice about restaurants in the area and where to buy lobster. she even offered to let us use their boiler and utensils needed to eat lobster in our deck. we loved PEI and this property is really well located. We loved the boardwalk, full with shops and restaurants. We could even walk to the grocery shop a block away....

Great time-Great experiance!

We scrambled to find a place 2 days before we flew into P.E.I. after cancelling our reservation to the Clarion Gateway Resort due to the negative reviews.
The cottages were small for 6 people in our party, however they were kept very clean & the beds were comfortable.. We really enjoyed the fire pit every night, telling stories and roasting marshmallows. The kids had a sandpit, swings, slides , etc. all within view of the cottage. The beach was a 3 minute drive, and mini golf, (right beside us)and the boardwalk were right down the road.
The owner was very accomodating and after chatting with him explaining that we are city folk he set us up to visit his sons' dairy farm for a tour. It was a great experiance for the kids.
We met some nice people from New Brunswick who had children the same age (7& 9) whom we will not forget.
We would definitely stay here again.
