“Great rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2014

The Inn is perfectly located on Lake Massawippi. Unfortunately, there were renovations going on so the kitchen was closed and we had to go out for meals. As a result, we didn't get to use many of the Inn's facilities, making it tough to rate as we were hoping to experience the cuisine there. We did enjoy the room as it was an upgrade and it really was the perfect place to relax. The fireplace heated the room quickly and the view of the lake is great. Looking forward to coming back when everything is back to normal as it has a really quaint feel to the place.

Room Tip: Room 17 is a corner room with a balcony overlooking the lake with a gas fireplace

My wife and I spent our wedding anniversary at the Ripplecove Inn on Lake Massawippi. The lakeside setting was absolutely fantastic with perfect weather and the view from our room with fall colours was great. We were upgraded to a super deluxe room. Wow! Meals were excellent and staff were most helpful.

We also had afternoon tea at Hovey Manor in North Hatley, across the lake from or hotel. Similar style. Also a 5 star location. Owner of this hotel is the brother of the owner of Ripplecove Inn so they both locations have the highest standard of quality and service. We stayed at Hovey Manor a few years ago; again on our anniversary. So we have an affinity to Quebec's Eastern Townships - a beautiful part of the country.

Room Tip: Consider a room with a lake view and a balcony.

Very nine Inn. Not too small, not too large. Gorgeous location, very nice outdoor pool. We had a plan that included dinner and breakfast. Excellent choice. We chose a room with a balcony with view on the lake. Breathtaking! The whole facility must have been redecorated not too long ago. Very nice and clean, yet with with a countryside touch. Very nice dining room. Excellent food. Very friendly staff.

Room Tip: Room with a balcony with view on the lake, otherwise the windows might be a tad small.

Very nice Inn, beautiful setting, restaurant is excellent. Rooms are to be re-touched for 850$ canadian 1 night 2 people, a new mattress ans pillows would be a good investment for this hotel.
Loved the balcony over looking the lake, the staff is the most friendly and not too snoby.

We had at the chance to get away for a few days and after spending some time in Vermont, we drove to Ayers Cliff to spend two nights at Ripplecove Lodge. Our room overlooked the lake and was spectacular. Comfortable beds, beautiful linens, and especially lovely fabrics chosen for the room. Light fixtures, too, were beautiful. The staff is very willing to make their guests happy and politely smiled as I practiced my high school french! Our plan included breakfast and dinner. Food was very good , but I would have liked to eat out, too. Not much although in Ayers Cliff, but again, no complaints about food. Our weather wasn't great which was too bad because the lake is gorgeous and the pool area, beautiful and inviting. I had a massage and facial and I have to say, the massage was the best I have experienced, which is amazing since I thought nothing could beat the Peninsula Spa in NY. Well, this did!

Room Tip: Chambre 7 is where I will return!

I stayed one night at the Ripplecove Inn with my husband and 15 year-old son in mid-August. We had a package including a 4-course dinner and a complete breakfast. The inn is beautiful, located on the shore of Massawipi lake. Our room was spacey, with a balcony and a nice view on the lake. We swam in the outdoor pool before dinner. The 4-course meal was great and the service was perfect. Breakfast was also top-notch, with a cold buffet and a choice of hot meals.
Our only negative comment concerns the sofa bed on which our son slept in our room. It was terrible, while our own bed was really comfortable. We regret not having mentioned it when we discovered that fact, but it was late at night and we were afraid we would have to wait before going to sleep. We mentionned this to the receptionist before we left.
Overall our one-night experience was satisfying.

I was here for a meeting held in the auberge's boardroom. The room was very elegant and well-appointed with a little balcony overlooking the lake. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic. While it was definitely on the expensive side, the inn and the grounds are lovely.
The only negatives are the price of a meal at the restaurant. I'd suggest you eat somewhere else for the price.
