“Lovely setting and great staff”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

We are Wyndham owners and booked here, as we wanted to visit Quebec Province and liked the idea of staying outside of a City. We had a one bedroom deluxe on the first floor in Building E. We had a one level unit with a/c. We only stayed 3 days and quite frankly did not make use of many of the amenities. We did go down to the lake side and enjoyed meeting several families with children who were enjoying the pool, ping pong, miniature golf, tennis, pedal boats, etc. We saw all ages using the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, pedal boats, swimming, and around the fire pit. All of these amenities were free of charge. We also enjoyed being up in a high building and sitting on the chairs they have placed to overlook the lake.

The best part of the resort is the staff... Very very friendly, efficient, welcoming, and spoke excellent English willingly to us. Our brand new coffee maker did not work properly and a man came with a new one in 5 minutes! Note: everything else was functioning.

The unit was satisfactory, albeit a little cabin like compared to most Wyndham properties. It does not have the nicer bedding, kitchen appliances, etc. , but we did not care. The kitchen, while small, was fully stocked (with one exception...no cereal bowls). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large (although the shower was interesting to get the water temp to desired and not spray the whole bathroom). There is a separate jetted tub in the bedroom. The living area had a comfortable couch and chair. Wifi was free and relatively stable. Ample parking steps outside the unit.

We did not try the restaurant, but several people told us it was very good. They offer a three course meal with beverages for $40 for adults. A reviewer said he would have gone into Saint Saveur and saved money at one of the many restaurants. Well, we went into Saint Saveur and were disappointed after the good reviews to find it wall to wall tourists strolling down the main drag, constant cars going by and very expensive meals. We spent $60 for a lunch of vegetarian crepes and one beer. Wish we had waited and had the full dinner at the resort.

There is a nice grocery store just a couple of miles away.

I think this resort is best for active people who like to fish, hike, swim, etc. as it is somewhat remote. We drove from it into Montreal and the traffic was horrendous coming back leaving Montreal before 4 p.m. We liked the setting and peace and quiet but we would not have wanted to stay longer without being more active.

Beware of the detour to get there on highway 333. We found it better to go to Prevost coming from Montreal. Our GPS was able to find the resort but it wasn't aware of the detour and so we drove around the lake as directed which was much longer.

Room Tip: For a/c and one story, building E was perfect.

Just got back from this hotel a few days ago…
Unfortunately the week we were there the weather did not co-operate with us and we had rain and cold for 4 days… And at this particular resort there is not much to do if bad weather… So we jumped in our vehicle and made our way out to Montreal and Saint-Jorome which was excellent and only 30 minutes from resort…
Other than bad weather room was nice but could have been cleaner… Very dark décor and a few light bulbs needed replacing.

The worst part was at 8pm resort was deserted with no family activities at all. There was something of a movie night which we were quickly disappointed with. I had approached the older front lady clerk about the show when she replied said had “NO IDEA” so when we arrived there this movie was at least 15 years old and not family appropriate at all… Also not 1 person had shown up for this movie… So we again disappointed, went back to our room and were asleep by 9:30pm… The next morning I asked a very nice young girl at the front desk about the movie, she stated its been the same one for a long time and there really is no interest in that show at all??? LOL!!! Who would have thought to update that???

So from a family perspective which most of the visitors being families with young children…

1.A kid friendly movie night would be a plus to have so parents and children have something to do in the evening

2.A children’s club should be ran nightly and some updates to the resort in the entertainment area would also be a good thing.

3. The indoor pool needs more attention (Cleanliness)

On the plus side tennis was great there is mini golf on site and there was a lot of updating of landscaping going on there as well. Not a bad place but not a Wyndham Standard resort…
Not 100% if we will be returning or not. It’ll be a while for sure.

Room Tip: Don't try to upgrade not flexible at all...

Hello from our studio unit in bldg H! As you can imagine, the free wifi is working well! When we planned our trip, it was to be a week of sun and fun spent in, on and around the lake .... but mother nature pulled a trick on us and sent fall in a bit early :(

This is an awesome resort, not 100% certain I would rank it at RCI's gold crown designation but certainly it's a fantastic 4* destination. Our unit is a studio....one double bed, one queen size pull out couch, smallish 4 pc bath and mini kitchen with most necessary appliances to get by. The bed is comfy and the unit is clean. We have seen a few ants in the bathroom, will report it when we check out.

All of the public areas are clean and in fantastically maintained shape with one very small exception....the deck/dock area is in bad need of paint. Lots to do...kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, nightly fire pit on the beach, an onsite excursion company with tons of things to pick from, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, etc. Language is NOT an issue....almost everyone speaks at least a bit of english and are visibly pleased if you make an effort to say a few words in french.

Since mother nature threw us such a curve ball, we took the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Each of the small towns have their own atmosphere but in particular, Saint Sauveur and Tremblant are awesome. Eat at the local family owned restaurants for some authentic local meals! Can't comment on the onsite restaurants as we have not tried it yet but the menu looks wonderful.

This is a wonderful resort tucked away in a great place. It's very kid friendly with lots of free activities. Our one bedroom room in building H was perfect with a well stocked kitchen, nice roomy bathroom and a comfy queen sized bed.

Minor anion eps amounted to the high prices;
1.). The restaurant was excellent but you pay quite a lot especially if you buy some of their over-priced wine.
2.). You are not allowed to take anything to the beach. All food and drinks must be purchased from the snack bar and again the prices are a bit high if alcohol is involved.
3.). There is another organization on-site that provides paid tours. I wanted to go on a 2 hour fishing trip ($99) but was told I needed a second person at another $99 or they would either shorten or cancel the trip. Tours to Montreal or Quebec were outlandishly expensive.

But contrary to this there were lots of free activities. Paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, billiards, tennis, hiking trails, etc. the best area to visit is St. Sauveur only 10 miles away. If we had it to do over again we would have skipped the expensive on site restaurant and eaten at one of the 100 restaurants there.

Room Tip: Our building H was up the hill. It was secluded but is the closest new unit to the activities below...

Very clean, quiet beautiful lake plenty of things to do from fishing for muskies up to 15 pounds to swimming, canoeing, paddle boats, indoor outdoor pools, hiking trails, guided tours to Montreal and Quebec city. Many small towns surround the resort. The resort itself is very clean with a great helpful staff.

We arrive on Sunday, June 15 the pool was out of order due to a flood , no blind on the back window where weeds and grass had grown up out of control.Bed too small, spider webs over the bed, no air conditioner just a fan, not good for my hot flashes. Was not what it appeared to be on line.

Room Tip: Double beds, not good for tall man. Bed in loft against the roof.

My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised with our visit to the Lac Morency last July. Our cabin and the resort were always clean and the staff were consistently very helpful. The lake is relaxing and quiet, and the resort is well-equipped for your enjoyment of the water. The spa, indoor and outdoor pools were very well maintained. The gourmet restaurant has a great view and is very up-scale. This is a great place for couples or families to spend a week in the outdoors. There are plenly of other amenities and activities to keep you entertained. We have been to many other locations, and Lac Morency was an enjoyable experience.
