What a disappointment! My whole journey in Québec has been delightful, except for my arrival to this outfitter. We’ve been particularly disappointed by the people we met at the front desk, completely unprofessional! They aren’t quite worth the hotel standing. I really think they are missing a leader, or at least someone to refer to. It is shameful not to pay attention to your clients.

This winter was very long in Quebec. Because of this, we were able to visit this nice place again during winter and still have snow!
Reservation was easy this time. Check-in was very easy also and we where well welcomed.
This time we had a more standard room with view on the lake. Still very nice room and very comfortable. Bathroom could be a bit more mentained but still ok.
Activities: I tought we could go more further on the lake, but it goes deep down very quickly and still have some water at bottom. They explained us that the lake is emptied before winter for the electricity dam. If soome has a snowmobile or rents one (location was closed and no mention of that, so could not rent any), there is many tracks and people where going very fast on the lake!
We did a dog sled ride, lasted for about 1 hour, was very fun to do! Dogs are crazy when they know they will go take a ride.
They have many cross-country ski tracks. SKis are free to rent which is great.
Also Snowshoes are free (old classic ones) and a small fee for aluminum ones.
Once again the website states a Ski-Plane rides can be done, but on place you need to be 20 people and no list to put your name on so nobody can make a tour.
The small restaurant closes at 4pm or so. You are obliged to wat the the main restaurant which serves big dinner meals. We brought some food with us, glad we did!

The location is amazing, so winter, summer or anytime this palce is amazing! A must go!

PS: Service is sometimes poor. I was called saying I had to pay an extra night because I only gave 1 voucher, but I gave 2 and signed for 2. I left a message to call me back and nobody did. I sent email regarding a fee I was wondering on my invoice (about 5-9$) and had no answer.
Customer service could be improved. But all other employes around are very helpfull and friendly!

We went there for a romantic weekend and 2 days wasn't enough . We rented a seadoo for 1 hour , ok it's expensive , but the waterways are really nice . They have brand new seadoos . You can go for a long walk on the beach . It's good for the kids too , cause the water doesn't go deep too fast . Food ? Excellent . Full breakfast , and the 5 services supper was really good . The rooms are also really up to date ! We will go back with the kids this time !

Room Tip: ground level rooms have their own patio door in front of the beach , for a morning coffee on the bea...

We and my wife are heavy travelers and went almost to the four corners of the globes and hotels,we ve seen alot!!..We went to this lodge valued by some and recommended by others and since its close,we said why not trying something in our backyard !!

First lets point out that we had a 3h drive to make it there on some terrible conditions in icy roads. It was so Icy that we did not even make it and had to leave the car on the side whit 3 miles to go...It was Ice Rink Conditions and POORING RAIN!!!...So far its mother nature and we understood !!...

We called the front desk to let them know and they did know what to do before i mentionned to call the local police in order for them to reach to local public work....

Here is the funny part...

I called back 5 minutes later and had to beg them to sent someone over to get us...After 1h in our Car (its winter by the way !) a guy came up on foot saying he was in the ditch !...It was the lodge employe !..After pushing is pick up truck out of the ditch along with some guy passing by in a huge SUV,he was able to make it back same and sound and us that guy SUV !

Once arrive to the front desk,a cold welcome was waiting for us by the student staff certainly not
use to deal with these kind of situation. There first question was not even ( are you guys okay or something like that..) but witch credit card are you gonna put your fees on ?...( wow !!! )..I ve seen better welcome in some trenched hiding place in southern Thailand than that !!!...

So far,we were hungry and said to ourselve (whatever...) Then,She handed the map of the hotel to us pointed out our room and she really said ( you can acces your room either by the inside ou the outside !) and she also said, its near the parking where you left your car...hahahaha....

Hello !!!...We came on foot and your janitor took the ditch try to rescue us and you want us to skate to our room now !!!!!... UNREAL !!!!

Anyhow,we went for dinner and it was lovely and then went straight to bed !...The next morning, the local public work had passed several time with some sand, salt to make it possible to drive on.We then around 10 am had a chat with the weekend manager alone with him in order not to make a scene in front of other guest and explained what went on the night before and we really asked him kindly if someone could from his staff give me a lift to my car and hoping to have also a better understanding of the situation over the staff the previous night before....He replied like everything was natural...Try to get yourself a lift with the clients that are cheking out !...

Unreal !!!!..

I stayed three days to know the region. It's a beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. The Hotel was correct, but by being 4 stars I was a little disappointed. I think the Hotel is overrated. The staff were great and the bedroom was good, but the bathroom was dated and slightly fetid. The servers in the restaurant were very friendly.
Five stars: The dinner. Very nice restaurant with a great view, a relaxing music and a really good food.
Zero stars: The pool. Was dirty and the water cold although was a large one.

We had stayed there for 2 days a couple of years ago during winter and we had been very happy about our stay. We had booked a 2 bedroom condo with kitchen so we hadn't tried the food. We had also very much enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and spa services.

It was an easy decision to go back when we needed a weekend away from the city once again. We booked the same type of condo this time around and we looking forward to our weekend.

It just wasn't the same. The condo we were given this time was on the ground floor so that people walking around the Inn would constantly pass by our windows and patio door. It just didn't feel as remote as the first time. The condo itself felt a little "faded" as if it's better days were left behind. The spa was completely booked (we should have reserved in advance... but then again, they should keep some availability for hotel guests), the pool and jacuzzi were always in use, the desk service was average. Again, it just wasn't the same.

So all in all, still a pretty decent, but expensive place. I'm sure our review is a little harsh just because we had liked it so much the first time. But that being said, next time we'll try another place.

Room Tip: Do not get a condo on the ground floor as you will have passers-by walking in front of your windows...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a 2 week tour of Ontario and Quebec. The area is beautiful and peaceful. We welcomed the chance to walk along the beaches and forest paths away from hustle and bustle. Our room in La Pinede was very well-appointed, clean and comfortable. The resort was not at all busy and few sounds were heard in the building. Free wi-fi was available. The swimming pool was excellent-large and warm. We used the indoor pool, which was virtually empty, but the outdoor pools were still open.We ate in the restaurant on one night, enjoying the food which was well-presented and cooked. However, it was the most expensive meal of out trip! ($115 for 2 not including drinks.)
