“Salmon dinner for 2 !”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

We ate at the restaurant and had dinner, with this came with a garden salad, fresh grilled Salmon with basmati rice, with grilled vegies and a generous portion of scallot potatoes. With this also came fresh warm bread and butter. For dessert we had the homemade lemon pie for only 2.00$ and a BIG mug of coffee was included with our diner. Being a Wednesday it was a little quiet so our service was excellent!

Stayed at DK over the weekend to attend a wedding nearby. Excellent and friendly service, great breakfast, awesome bathroom and bathrobes, very comfortable bed. The room was a little small with limited storage. Could make for tight quarters should 4 people share the room with the two single beds in the loft. Nice, quiet, perfect for a couple. Perfect location in the village.

We spent two nights there and had breakfast. Service was excellent. Owner was there to male sure that everything was taken care of. Will come again for a ski or biking week-end and try the restaurant. There is a very nice and quiet terrace behind.

Room Tip: Stayed in room #1

From beginning to end we had a fantastic time.
So my friends and I came for some skiing/snow boarding at Jay Peak (about 30 mins away and totally awesome - BTW). It took a while to come from Toronto but we were greeted by some true french hospitality when we got here.
The staff were fantastic. The manager - professional, polite and extremely helpful. The bar maid - quick-whited, courteous and all with a smile. The chef - a young fellow but certainly accomplished in his art. All of the staff made my friends and I feel like family. The manager even sat down to dinner with us on our last night there - she was wonderful - in fact they all were.
The rooms were loft-style and very clean. No bugs, no mold, I don't even think I saw soap scum. The food was fantastic and well priced. Coming from Toronto, I expected to pay a lot more for the menu items. The manager even got up early with us to make us breakfast personally so that we could get out early to hit the slopes - can't say as I've ever encountered that kind of service before.
This quaint town boasts some of the most friendly people I have ever met. We were fortunate enough to get to know those at D & K, if only for a short time.
We will be back again next year for sure.
If you're looking for a get away romantic or just simple fun check this place out, you will be glad that you did.

We stayed at D & K right after New Year's. First of all, we really enjoyed the village of Sutton. D & K is located at one end of the village, so it's very easy to walk all the way through and back to see the shops and visit the restaurants. Ski resort is a very easy 5 min. drive away.

I thought the room was a tight squeeze for four people (2 adults; 2 kids), especially with all of the ski stuff. But, it was definitely manageable. Breakfast was good with slight changes in the daily offering to keep it from getting boring. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very tasty as well.

Everyone was extremely friendly and made our stay comfortable. This was a great place to come home to after a long day of skiing.

My only complaint (which was discussed with the gal at the front desk) was the noise level in our room. Our room (Room 1) was situated above the staircase leading up to all of the rooms. We could hear everyone tromping up and down the stairs every morning and every night. Thankfully, no one stayed up very late and we were able to sleep pretty well.

I would stay here again, just not in this particular room.

Room Tip: Do not stay in Room 1 - you'll hear everyone's footsteps on the stairs below.

In the heart of beautiful Sutton, a warm, "urban" and trendy Inn. Smartly designed for up to four people, each 8 units are conveniently built on two levels with cathedral ceilings. I was there for a business meeting and we had the whole place to ourselves (our reservation was oubviously done in advance) and it was perfect. The main floor includes a lounge with fireplace, a sleek bar, bistro and open kitchen. A fully equipped conference room can also be quickly set up with movable panels:Brilliant. D&K's food was very very good (homestyle) and prepared by one of the owners. I will definitely go back with my wife (with or without our kids...). We are also planning a family gathering next year and this modern inn would be the perfect spot.

The village of Sutton is adorable and the hotel is very chic and stylish. The rooms are very large and the beds are extremely comfortable. We had a cocktail in the lounge, by the fireplace, overlooking the small river – very romantic. The staff is extremely helpful and will go the extra mile to make sure you have a great stay. We strongly recommend the Auberge D&K.
