We did not stay in the inn but the restaurant, only open two years, was excellent.

This is our second time eating at Auberge des Appalaches, and it was fabulous. On the rating system at Trip Advisor, its in the Hotel category because it is also a hotel, but it should be acknowledged as a great restaurant as well.
We had a very reasonably priced bottle of wine, creative starters, including asparagus with poached egg, and a wonderfull mushroom soup. The main courses we had were salmon, risotto and i had bavette, a real specialty of the house. They were all great!

The decor has improved tremendously since our last visit. Strongly encourage the trip up the mountain!

Wonderful environment - John and Patricia are excellent hosts. The food, of course, was tremendous. Thankyou. My daughter and I had a very memorable time.

Room Tip: The room itself was very nice. I appreciated the upgrade and renovation. I tend to open my window...

Loved my night away from the bustle. There is so much to do out and about like snowshoing , skiing, hiking and indoors- fine cuisine, fireplace to cuddle up to. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality without needing to feeling the guilt of overspending. VERY reasonable priced for the quality and little touches experienced.

We spent 3 night here in late January... skied 2 1/2 days at Mt Sutton. John and Patricia are really warm, friendly people and their pride in the Auberge is evident. We had 3 superb dinners and breakfasts. John specializes in "country, comfort" food I would say... absolutely delicious. Our queen room was VERY small but very clean and the size really didn't matter to us. The "pub", dining room and sunroom are lovely. It was really nice to sit on the couch in front of the fire sipping wine while waiting to dine. We will definitely go back. BTW, skiing is outstanding at Mt Sutton!

Room Tip: You probably want a renovated Queen room.

We were at Auberge des Appalaches the first weekend in September. We were very lucky and the weather was perfect. John and Patricia are amazing hosts. The meals were perfect -- and quite healthy. John is a chef worth some stars. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, but who wants to stay there for more than a peaceful night's sleep.

We also enjoyed a day of hiking all over Mt. Sutton and another day of wandering around les Canton's de l'est. And there there was time to just sit and enjoy. We hope to go back and have already recommended Auberge des Appalaches to friends.

Delivered more than we anticipated.

The genuine friendly greeting and service were only surpassed by the surprising high quality of the evening supper. We were 6 in our party with international hospitality experience and all would return for the food and friendly low key most affordable atmosphere. The owners are highly competent, hands on, well travelled themselves and clearly suitable to hospitality, especially fine cuisine.
The rooms are fine, nothing elaborate, but the whole experience is worth the stay.
Also, the local wineries and cideries are impressive.
Cheers
Ron
