“Nice hotel, very clean and good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2013

We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times now and we always find it spotlessly clean, modern and excellent value. The rooms are comfortable, although the beds are a little firm for us and the hotel is not sound proofed as well as it could be, but overall it is excellent value, lovely bathrooms with good quality beauty products and quite adequate. For us this is by far the best hotel in North Battleford.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room as the sound proofing is not as good as it could be.

The building is a little dated looking on the outside, but one of the nicest I've stayed in on the inside. Very nice decor, furniture etc, modern and comfortable. There was a problem when we checked in (toilet), but someone was at our door to take care of it faster than a 5 star hotel. Great service and problem solved. A nice place to get some rest after a long day driving. I can definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Pretty nice hotel - rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and decent furniture; rates were fair. Good breakfast in the morning that is included in the rate. Not much for a view or anything spectacular to look at around the area...but for a night's rest at a decent rate, not bad.

This hotel offers very attractive rooms at a reasonable price. Included is a continental breakfast which is definitely above average. Hotel staff have been given service excellence training and it shows. I have stayed here a number of times and never been disappointed. Best to reserve ahead as this hotel does get booked solid quite often. There is no restaurant on site.

Stayed at hotel for a Bantam hockey tournament. Good tourmnament overall, always gliches but someone was there to help clear them up. Well done. Great tournament.
Hotel is clean, well kept, staff was friendly and helpful. Have stayed here before and it is still a good place. Good security and lots of outside parking.
Close to Tim Hortons, Boston Pizza, McDonalds, fuel etc.
Allowed to use their breakfast area to feed kids pizza in evening after going to city water park which is a block away (great location). The water park is new and great for all ages.
The pool and hot tubes are clean and well kept.

Room Tip: Top floors better as noise goes through floors and pick room on north side as further from main drag...

We stayed here for a night to visit with friends. The property is very clean. It is non smoking and they charge you a $500 surcharge if you are caught smoking in your room. There is a nice sized pool and 3 hot tubs seating a total of 24 people. There is also a steam room and dry heat sauna that we tried out and are quite nice. There is a fitness centre, that while we didn't try, seemed nice with several machines available. Our standard room had 2 queen size beds and was huge. There was lots of room between the beds and room for an easy chair and ottoman as well. The one thing that was a little disappointing was the old tube style TV. Other properties in this class of hotel I have been at have flat screens. The continental breakfast was standard with cereal, toast, muffins, bagels, fruit salad, hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, toaster waffles, yogurt and juice, tea and coffee. Overall great value and heads and shoulders above any other property in the Battlefords area.

Thank you for your comments; they are greatly appreciated!
We are in the process of upgrading our televisions with most of our suites already having larger flat screen televisions in them.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Gold Eagle Lodge for Christmas and Boxing day 2012. We booked an above average room so I'm not going to focus to much on the quality of the rooms. We feel that the rooms in this hotel are probably the best maintained in the city.

I will comment more on our experience for the two days we stayed there.
The front entrance with the sofas and fireplace suited the initial warmth of the Lodge because the day we came there it was in the minus 20s.
First, The reception staff were very friendly and helpful when we first arrived, welcoming us and telling us about the hotel amenities.

This warmth also extended to all other staff members we met from the room cleaning staff to the maintenance staff. Everyone had smiles and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay pleasant, to let them know.

So, from a staff point, Gold Eagle Lodge ... the staff you have working there should ALL be commended for their work they are doing.

The indoor swimming pool / spa area rivals any major hotel facility we have stayed in . The swimming pool is a salt water pool large enough to really swim . They also have , not one , not two , but 3 different whirlpools of different sizes and water temperatures. They also have a steam room and sauna room. All I can say is E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T

The hotel is not equipped with a full service restaurant, but they do offer a great continental breakfast which is included with room price. There are many choices of cereals, danishes, a great fruit salad, yogourt, coffee, tea and hot chocolate for hot drinks, and several juices for cold drinks. Above average choices in my opinion.

This hotel is a Casio hotel, so although it is not attached to the casino, It is a short walk to the casino, casino lounge and casino restaurant (3-5 min) Lodge guests are given $10.00 to play at the casino if the choose to do so.

To conclude , we recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the North Battleford area , and we are sure we will be back again in the near future.

Thanks for a great Christmas stay Gold Eagle Lodge!
