We didn't know what to expect because we never heard of them but we were very pleased. She bring us in a very nice garden with grass, flowers and tables to taste their good wine with a plate of very good cheese, bread and jam. There was also a lemoncello that was very good and fresh. The wine is good at a good price so we bought several bottles and got a free tasting.

The grounds are gorgeous. The breakfast is incredibly diverse, and delicious. The sauce was tasty but hot for the gringo palate.Let the chef know ahead of time if you have any dietary needs or allergies. He worked so hard at making many different options, but we could only chose a couple.

It was very chilly at night during our stay last night (the winter months). I suggest you take warm clothes to sleep in and sweaters/jackets for the morning and evening. (no central heating)

The lounge area was lovely. We suggest you bring snacks and wine to enjoy in the evening or on your balcony, if the weather allows. There are wine glasses in the Lounge Kitchen.

The stars at night are beyond beautiful. They sparkle with such clarity out beyond the lights of the towns. We were awakened by the beautiful songs of countless birds. Other than that, there was no noise at all in this lovely area.

This place is probably wonderful in the summer, warmer months.

In January, another couple and we stayed 2 nights at Vinedos Malagon B and B. There's no indication as you travel through its nearby dusty Mexican town along the Wine Route that such a lovely setting awaits you! The setting is grand, as though you're hidden away in a vineyard/ranch tucked into the loveliest part of the Guadalupe Valley. Rachel Malagon responded promply and efficiently to reserve the rooms. Ana Rosa and Lazaro on site made certain that you had the cleanest, most peaceful, and most accommodating experience possible. The breakfasts: best ever..... anywhere! An appetizer and dessert along with freshly made everything for the main course. Wow! The two speak a modicum of English, but smiles and laughter compensated. The setting is relaxing for a rest, walks in nature, a nighttime bonfire, and of course, a happy wine tasting session. Only 4 rooms - which makes it perfect. Hope to return! Muchas gracias!

Room Tip: 2 very large rooms and 2 regular sized rooms.

Spent 3 nites at Vinedos Malagon on my first visit to Valle de Guadalupe over the Thanksgiving holiday. It's a chill place, smartly designed & impeccably maintained, nestled into a spacious finger of the Valle, a gorgeous setting. Staff Lazaro & Ana Rosa could not be more attentive and hospitable. Chef Lazaro is a bundle of enthusiasm and will go to great lengths to make sure you get a special breakfast. We ate other meals out, at several of the BajaMed foodie places in the Valle, really delicious, too.

Although one might miss them just driving through on the highway, the Valle is full of boutique wineries hidden down dusty roads. I recommend starting at Museo del Vino for orientation. We focused on the smaller artisanal wineries, my favorite really was Vinedos Malagon, with Ana Rosa pouring. Her son Raul was our waiter at Finca Altozano, they look just alike, and are really nice folks, like everyone we encountered in the Valle. I also liked Torres Allegre, JC Bravo, El Alximia. El Cielo is worth checking out for it's architectural magnificence. Adobe Guadalupe is like a fancy hacienda, kind of over-designed, and has a distinctly different vibe from the rest of the Valle: lots of rules & regulations.

We crossed the border at Tecate, it was an easy 1 hr. drive to Vinedos Malagon. I'll be going back, and recommending to friends. I'd love to see the Valle in spring and at harvest time. A large golf course/resort & housing development has just been approved, so the area is bound to change. I would recommend to anyone who's contemplating a visit to go now rather than later.

Room Tip: We stayed in Suite Grenache, 2 king size beds, and really huge. We toured the other rooms; Suite Ma...

Tranquil is the best decriptor for this very enjoyable overnight stay. Off the main road and very quiet. Us, our friends and one other party were all that were there. Some of the staff speaks English, but knowledge of Spanish will greatly enrich your time. Excellent simple breakfast on the patio overlooking the vineyard. Wine tasting of wines from Magalón winery in warm and very friendly. Our room, second floor suite was very roomy with bath and view. Good Wifi connection.

Sept 20 and 21 Valle de Guadalupe tour made our home base at Malegon's. This was my second overnight visit at Vinedos Malegon.

We had the Grenache Suite and were lucky to enjoy the recent cooler air in the valley. This suite is the size of two hotel rooms with a huge bathroom. Ana Rosa greeted us and got us settled in. We didn't have a lot of bags, but, the parking is within a few feet of the B&B, making easy transport.

Ana brought us over to the community casa, which includes more bathrooms(with showers), a lounge with fireplace, satellite TV, big kitchen and a comfy patio overlooking the vineyards.

Lucky us, finding Joe Malegon serving beverages that afternoon, including his new grenache. The table on their patio is where guests gather for breakfast and happy hour. A couple from Mexico City was there this weekend and it was fun discussing and comparing our wine valley experiences with them.

We also had stocked up on cheese and bread at Los Globos Cremeria at the Valle's only stoplight in San Antonio de las Minas. We also brought our cooler filled with ice, beer and other goodies. Our happy hour on the patio lasted until 9PM.

Because you are in a rural, secluded vineyard, only the birds will wake you in the morning. That and the idea of a breakfast made to order by Lazaro will get your day started right. Lazaro's coffee is strong and the smell of his cooking is comforting. Fruit, bread, sweet treats and juices are all part of breakfast. I ordered eggs with ham and beans with chorizo. Red and green salsas are an additional treat.

You can catch up on your favorite sports or movies on the lounge TV, do some reading or get your www fix with free campus highspeed wifi internet.

Beside the clean room, comfy bed, strong water pressure in the bathroom and quiet setting, I enjoy the hills of hiking at Malegon. The property is 400 acres and much of it extends north into the hills. The trails are easy to navigate, because you can see the wine valley below.

Small grocery stores and simple taco shops are also available in the town of Francisco Zarco if you want to get your Mexican on.

To find Malegon's, at K76-77 of the Ens-Tecate Hwy 3, turn into the small town of Francisco Zarco at the Pemex. In .6 miles(1K) stop at the first stop sign, right turn. In 200 yards, you will see the entrance to Malegon's on your right. Upon entering the property, signs will lead you to the B&B as you wind throught eh beautiful vineyards.

Small, very clean and comfortable B&B in Baja's wine country owned by a California couple who were onsite for a family wedding. Delicious home cooked breakfasts and wine tasting were included. Very peaceful, relaxing setting!
