We planned to stay one night and stayed 4 nights instead ~ such charming hosts, hospitality beyond the norm, terrific breakfasts, and quiet nights. We enjoyed the newly remodeled Casita right next to the pool. We will definitely make this B&B our "home away from home" when we visit Ajijic in the future.

Love the place, the attention, the pool, the room, everything was perfect! Ajijic it is indeed a beautifull place to visit, and this house is awesome, we spent a great time, very romantic, and quiet, we are planning on having a 2 day mini vacation very soon, I already want to be there again, if you want the best attention, this is the right B & B

We had the opportunity to spend 3 days at this charming inn. It was great. Our room overlooked the mountains
(Mariposa) and had a wonderful terrace. It also had a fridge to store beverages. The gardens are beautiful and the gardener comes each morning to tend it. The pool is heated to a great 85. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast in the garden. The menu was vaey varied and we enjoyed everything we tatsed. The fruits are so fresh in Mexico. And the smoothies so delicious and healthy. And I have to mention the various muffins that were served, yummy. HArd to just take one!
The town is interesting too. Cobblestone streets and and old church on the town sqyuare just the right setting for relaxing.
Eleanor, we hope to return someday for a longer visit. Thanks for everything

Staying @ Quinta del Sol was like being with family (Our first time in a B&B)The room "Mariposa" is bright, big and wonderful decorated in Mexican style. Breakfasts were amazing, lots to choose from. Having coffee with Eleanor early morning was a great start of the day. Easy access from downtown just a couple of blocks away from the beautiful Lake Chapala. In all we had a great time with Eleanor and hope to visit her again soon.Walter and Rosemarie

We have been to many B and Bs in the US, Europe and now Mexico, and I don't think I can recall a stay as welcoming and comfortable as our 5 day stay at Quinta del Sol. Eleanor, the proprietress, helped us with decisions/arrangements before our stay, as well as lending a great hand during the visit. We were greeted with wine and homemade guacamole, maps and advice the minute we landed at her door. As everyone comments, her breakfasts were creative, plentiful, and heavenly. Eleanor talked us out of renting a car (so smart, thank you) and arranged inexpensive, English guided taxis when we needed them. She even arranged for a day with a realtor! Yes Ajijic, we'll be back, and if Eleanor will have us we will be at Quinta del Sol.

Ajijic is a great town and Eleanor made each morning special with her amazing breakfasts. Fresh fruit, muffins, smoothies, and her wonderful eggs and pancakes made the start of each day a happy event. The rooms have great atmosphere with stone walls and lovely furniture. The balance between old-world charm and modern amenities is just right. I will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

We stayed here for 4 nights in March and really enjoyed this place; better than the reviews. Our room, la casita was great, by the pool, comfy and cool. breakfasts were fabulous. Eleanor has a special, try it! Raspberry corncakes with lemon sauce, yummy. Ajijic is an interssting place to visit and who knows, perhaps one day we will live there.
