“Not what we were expecting”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

The night was organized so it was a set price dinner: the food was really nothing to speak of and the wine was particularly bad.
Still the mood was festive as we were a group and the owner was very nice and kept on offering tequila shots, so that made up for the rest. Just for that, I might give it another shot when it not organized and try their regular menu.

“Great dining experience”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Hacienda Don Pedro is a lovely restaurant with great food. The dining room is beautiful, with heavy dark furniture and murals on the walls. We ordered arrachera and the rib eye, both served with baked potato. The steaks were cooked just right. We also had cheesecake for dessert - muy rico y delicioso! The entire meal - with wine - came to less than $40. Service is prompt and efficient. They advertise live music on several nights a week. This is a spot to celebrate a special occasion or to have a romantic dinner. I highly recommend. I have posted pictures of our meal at www.lakechapalarestaurantguide@blogspot.com Buen provecho!

“Great KaRAOKE!!!”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

Wednesday night is Karaoke. It is a fun nite filled with singing and dancing. The menu is a simpler reduced menu for those who wish to participate in the fun and singing. The ambiance is great; the wait staff all participate in the fun and it is really a great. I don't know the time it begins but I think it ends at 10:00pm. My husband and I were there and watched the happenings. We are not singers but really enjoyed the people who did sing and dance.

“The bill is always a surprise”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

Recently Don Pedros has introduced karaoke Wed. evenings. However, the price of drinks (small menu for that night is reasonable) is ridiculous. I was charged $70p for one shot of Amaretto! I would not even pay that much in USA!

“Average to poor”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Tried this steakhouse and so many things were not available. They have specials but if you don't want a special, you may not get dinner! Wine was expensive and not great. There are better places to eat in Ajijic.
