I visited Gossips for dinner twice in my 2 week vacation in Ajijic. The highlights: caesar salad with the cornbread croutons, drunken ribs, shepherd's pie AND the banana bread pudding. Ismet, the owner offers curries and fresh seafood as well as a gentle welcoming atmosphere.

Without a doubt - every winter from November to April - we look forward to renewing our gastronomic relationship with Gossip's. It's Ajijic. We don't really care about the traffic or about the dust or even the exhaust... We care about one of the most interesting and well executed menus in the village. Our adult children visit us - love the restaurant. Our friends visit us - love the restaurant. We never hesitate to recommend it... Ismat - master of the menu - is always happy to see us and we him. Love the food. Love the staff. Big thumbs up once again. It just doesn't get any better.

We love the food here. I nice mix of Carribean, Cajun with a bit of African thrown in. Unfortunately, in the heat of summer the place if full of flies, no screens on windows and the few tables on the street are subject to bus fumes and noisy cars as they go by. Best to go in cool weather when there are fewer flies and you can eat inside.

This restaurant was recommended to us and did not disappoint in the food category. The service was average and the location is right at the side of the highway so was very noisy and we were breathing lots of fumes. They would do well to move their location.
