“A Precious Gem in Ajijic”
Reviewed 30 May 2009

To begin with, you first must imagine yourself in a charming Mexican village, cobblestone streets, quaint buildings, magnificent scenery, and all the colors, sounds and sights of festive Mexico. Who could top that? Well, as you enter the antique doors of Casa de las Flores, you will be spellbound by the stunning beauty of this lovely B&B, and you will know immediately that you have chosen a most special gem for your stay. This very traditional home is comfortably elegant......the well manicured grounds are impressive, and YES, flowers everywhere! The swimming pool beckons you, and the lounges are perect for an afternoon siesta. My room was tastefully decorated, and everything was very lush and inviting. I found the staff friendly and charming, and the owner's, Fernando and Steve are available to answer questions and handle any special requests. During my stay I found this to be an especially private and serene accommodation....exactly what I needed to unwind and relax.......and you could not ask for a more beautiful ambience.........I can't wait to return!

I had to write a few words of parise for the wonderful time I had with all the staff and the owners of Casa de las Flores!! I was hopeful to have a good time away from work and my life here in Texas but what I got in return was an absolutely unexpected experience!! The staff and owners treat you as one of thier family members. I was spoiled to no end with the great attention to detail that Fernando and Steve (the owners) showed me and the rest of the guests. The Casa is decorated with absolute care and it makes you feel so tusted that so many of their valuabls are in the common living areas for all to indulge and enjoy You will find decorations from Africa, Argentina, Spain, Paris, Asia!! I just can not say enough about my wonderf expereince...I am even thinking of writing a book!! Who knows..it might just be a best seller!!! Thank you Fernando and Steve!! Hugs to all the staff as well!

This was the most delightful, welcoming, well-run and wonderful place to stay. Steve and Fernando were terrific, couldn't do enough for us( and the other guests), and were always fun and kind. My husband had to go the the hospital one evening, and Steve drove us there and insisted on staying until all was well.
The food was excellent, the attention to detail in the accommodation and everything else was second to none. These are people who are true to their calling, making people feel at home, and catering to their needs. Good-hearted and honest, they put themselves out for their guests.Steve kept us laughing with his stories and Fernando was charming. We were so sorry to leave, and hope we can return. We feel as if we've made life-long friends. This is a special place, run by special people. They also treat their staff well and with consideration, not to mention helping several local charities. They are honest, industrious, excellent people We intend to return.

I recently stayed three nights at this lovely oasis in Ajijic. The hosts, Steve and Fernando, could not have been more helpful and sweet.

The surroundings are just gorgeous, beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms, a nice pool, a wonderful living area, and fantastic breakfasts on the patio. Fernando is a trained chef and it shows!

It is in a very accessible location, a few short blocks from the main street where the bus arrives, and a short walk to the plaza and restaurants.

I recommend this B & B very highly. I would not hesitate to return.

We would like to thank Steve & Fernando for an excellent stay at Casa de las Flores. It is a great place, short driving distance from Guadalajara, all services, excellent attention and so nice to rest over the weekend.

We book it just from seeing it on their website and we can not complaint. Our room was awsome, we were very pleased.

Home made breakfast, walking distance to main plaza, nice restaurants and shops... out trip ended up wounderful.

Casa las Flores is the place to be if you are serching for tranquility, relaxsaton and great acomidations. I just loved the colorfull cort yard and pool area. Free from noice!

The staff is verry friendly, almost like beeing at home. If I needed some thing out of the ordenary they would go out of there way to help me find it. This uniqe up scale B&B, is a home away from home!

I travel monthly from San Diego Ca, to Guadalajara Mexico and choose to stay in this magical B&B.

Hope to visit in early July of this year, if I can still book!

Casa Flores is a magnificent, but small, B&B just off the main road in Ajijic, Mexico. The property is fantastic with a small pool, lovely garden area, great foliage, and the rooms (both of them) are more than adequate. Our room was spacious, clean, and with a fridge and microwave. The views from the rooms are great. Jean and Walt are accomodating hosts and can fill you in on the local places and have a lot of local knowledge.

B&Bs don't get any better than this!
