After a spectacular first visit to Casa de Mita in 2008, we came back for our 2nd visit. We met up with another couple we got to know at Casa last year, and soon found that just about everyone else staying there was equally as fun. What a blast to hang out with such amazing people from the US, Canada, and Australia.
We stayed in the original penthouse this year, and it was stunning (not that we really spent that much time in our room). Every detail was well thought out, and we slept like babies on a mattress that felt like a cloud.
The peacefulness of this place always amazes me. The white sand beach is almost totally empty. The coral and semi-caves make for some great adventures. It was 5 days of sun and 85 degree temperatures.
Once again, the people make the place. From Marc the owner to his staff who treat you like old friends.. to the new friends we made in the other guest rooms-- this is a place we will return again and again.More
