We visited Akumal in June, when it was heavily raining. Waves were high and there was almost no fish in the sea, so instead of swimming in Caribbean sea we decided to go snorkeling to Yal-ku lagoon. We arrived at 9:30am, and it was really nice there: quiet, lots of fish... In 30min, crowds of other visitors arrived and honestly they were so disturbing! they were laughing and talking loudly... good that it almost did not influence the fish. But it became really uncomfortable to swim around
