“Choice, choice and then some more choice”

I stopped here within a group of people on a tour to Chichen itza. If you are looking at trips to Chichen itza from Riveira Maya then pick one that stops here. This is the perfect break up of the journey. The place was tranquil and peaceful. lots of interesting pictures to take once you have eaten. However with the variety and quality of food you may use all your time trying out amazing food choices. The are a lot of hot and cold options, a great local soup with breads. A chilli made with chocolate. If you are from England and make chillis with any jar sauces then here is where you will find authentic. I have made my own meals at home and since visiting this place I have added so many new ingredients that I discovered here. Its a shame we could not stay longer. That the only negative.

“Delicious and picturesque!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

This was one of the best buffets we've had. All of the food was tasty and of good quality. We went as part of a day tour and were not disappointed. One regret was that I did not heed the warning of a fellow diner who exclaimed "muy picante!" when I grabbed a scoop of habanero salsa. It was wicked, even for someone who likes that stuff. The restaurant itself was a spectacular 120 year-old house with a backyard shrine and a landmark church across the street. There is outdoor seating among the hundreds of seats available and a gift shop. This is a huge place and is probably on of the most unique places we've ever eaten. Visit if at all possible; you will not be disappointed.

“Great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2014 via mobile

Fantastic! 25 separate mexican dishes alone to try, clearly labelled, good choice of soups, puddings, salads etc, extensive beverage list. Stopped here on a day trip tour. In an old mansion complete with its own outside chapel and gift shop, really lovely old restored building with friendly helpful staff!

My girlfriend and I stopped here with our tour group after chichenitza. The buffet was amazing. Staff were friendly. The steaks were very tender and mouth watering. Excellent Mexican food

“This is a destination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

During a stroll after dinner I happened on this place. I actually didn't eat there but the place is so unique you MUST not miss it. There are shops with really nice Mexican folk art and crafts. Its not your usual tourist store - these are better items and the prices are higher. There is a place that looks like an outdoor church or gathering place but its hard to describe. It looks like an altar with a waterfall made of Mexican pottery. The seating area for the restaurant has lots of masks covering the wall in lines. Very cool. Check this place out!
