“Lovely Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2013

Hotel Zaci is just lovely! It was much nicer than I expected.

We had a superior room and it was perfect. The mini-split a/c was quiet and efficient. There also was a ceiling fan and windows that opened wide with screens. I love fresh air.

The best part for me was the sleep quality--big thick comfy mattresses and perfectly quiet at night. Lots of very hot water in the shower, with sufficiently good water pressure. Bottled water was left in your room daily.

Great location. It was so easy to walk everywhere. I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Valladolid.

Room Tip: I think the superior rooms are worth it for the better a/c and mattresses.

We have stayed at the Zaci several times and will happily go back. It is spotless, the staff is pleasant and the location is ideal for wandering around the city. The white stucco walls and big pots of tropical plants give the courtyard d such a classic look and feel. You can't hear the road noise once you've passed the reception area. Very pleasant. We stayed 5 nights on our latest visit and would definitely go back on our next visit to Valladolid.

We stayed at Hotel Zaci for two nights. The hotel is perfectly located one block from the lively streets and the main plaza of Valladolid and many restaurants. Although, it is very quiet and relaxing.
There is a nice courtyard with a pool, which was clean and nice to refresh after a day out. The hotel is also a great place for trips to Chichen Itza, Ek'Balam and many cenotes. The Cenote Zaci is a 10minutes walk from the hotel.

The room themselves were good, a bit outdated, but for the price totally ok. Staff was friendly and there is a parking at the back of the hotel (entrance at calle 46).

We will definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here and it was a quaint place. Loved the courtyard and the screens in the window. It is not over run with tourists so you see how people really live. Close to the plaza with the church and good restaurants. The staff work hard and keep the place clean and tidy. Bring your own washcloths. Very good price.

This is a good location to stay to visit Valladolid, Ek Balam, cenote and Chichen-itza. If you want to see all these, stay three nights.
The rooms are nice and clean, with tile everywhere. They only have rooms with two double beds! It looks newly remodeled. All the rooms face the inner courtyard and sometimes you can hear the people but it was not to bad. Ask for a room on a higher floor say 2nd or 3rd for more privacy and quiet. The front desk staff do not speak English so you will have to do your best (but they seem to be friendly).
The hot water is heated by a wood fed furnace that is next to the parking area. That only gave you a warm shower and most of the year should not be a problem but we were there in December with cool mornings and nights. (see picture below).
The hotel is one block from the square and in a great location. The price was right, so I would recommend this property.

Room Tip: Stay on the 2nd or 3rd floors for more privacy and quiet.

Eric stayed for two nights in mid December . We were walking and had no trouble getting a room. The location was good, close to bus station and town center. The staff were cheerful but little Engels. The hotel eas clean and quiet. They did not have safety deposited box available.
I will stay there again for the price if I am in v.

We loved this hotel. It was impeccably clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. Get a room with air conditioning...its worth the few extra dollars. We loved the pool too. just a short 2 or 3 blocks from the main plaza. The beds were not terribly comfortable, but that seems to be standard in every hotel we stayed in. Rooms are a good size and garden is hand-tended. They also offer walled parking lot. I will stay here again.
