Dennis is a very kind host; very informative and is pleasant to answer all our questions. He has done an extra mile to take us to the market and showed us around. I would mostly recommend the place to begin with one's travel, as it is a good starting point to acclimatize after a long flight. Hustle-free, great breakfast in a nice and cool terrace, a pool, a hammock and a garden! Very relaxing!

My family and I stayed here for two nights in late March and had a perfect experience at Casa Hamaca. Dennis is a great host, is very knowledgeable about the area, and will spend all the time you need to assure you have a great stay. Our room, the Colonial Suite, was perfect for our family of four - spacious, nice bathroom, and hammock. The included breakfasts are incredible and a great way to start your day. Dennis also was very helpful in lining up taxis as needed and for dinner recommendations. The grounds were beautiful. Would not consider any other accommodations in Valladolid the next visit there.

This is a delightful place to stay. The owner, Dennis is very informative and looks after his guests very well. He is a true gentleman. At breakfast each day (and unfortunately we were only there for two nights) he makes a point of talking to guests and gives advice on what to see and is extremely knowledgeable. His staff are all very helpful and can't do enough for you. The grounds are beautiful and worth a visit in their own right. Our room was spacious and had both air conditioning and fans. Each room has its own hammock - hence the name. I can thoroughly recommend Casa Hamaca

We only stayed one night on a quick trip to the area, but Dennis gave us great advice to maximize the sites that we were able to see. The grounds are beautiful and the inn is decorated uniquely. The breakfast was fantastic - I enjoyed the Juevos de Hamaca and my boyfriend loved the enchiladas suizas - very creamy sauce. Dennis and his staff found a taxi driver that was willing to drive us to Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, and wait for us while we toured around, for a reasonable fee. I would definitely return!

Casa de Hamacas is a really charming guest house on a quiet square in a laidback town. Reached over a bridge which crosses a small garden (a tiny piece of jungle), it's one of those places where the design just works – a little arch by the pool, some steps down to the breakfast area, a hammock to the right of reception... you get the drift.

Mayan folk art predominates but doesn't intrude. Everyone is really friendly and Denis, the owner, is always around to ask about pretty much anything. He can arrange suitable trips too.

Breakfast is terrific. A mini-buffet of granola (really nice)/natural yogurt/milk, fruit, pastries is followed by a choice of about ten dishes in varying styles – there's something for anyone.

Casa Hamaca is clean, friendly, comfortable and the opposite of a business hotel - highly recommended.

Casa Hamaca is a brilliant place to stay. We stayed there for 3 nights last week, and had a fantastic and relaxing time. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was bigger than most rooms I've stayed at. The location is less than a 10 min walk from the main square, which is ideal when walking off a large meal. Denis and the staff make you feel incredibly welcome and genuinely help you out; Denis helped us arrange a photo shoot, which was so helpful and we really appreciate his support. Also the breakfasts are plentiful and delicious! Would love to have stayed for longer. You must stay here if you are in Valladolid!
