“Better than some hotels.”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

If you have need to stay in the Dunstable area and you are on a limited budget, then you need look no further than Cherish End. The room (4) where we stayed was immaculate and very well equipped, with some features that you would not find in some hotels at this price.

This room at the front of the place is large and airy, it has a large double bed which is very comfortable. Only one slight problem was the time it took to warm up on a horridly blustery and wet Friday night.

WiFi worked perfectly, which if you read some of my other reviews is a particular bug bear of mine. Hotels often claim WiFi available everywhere, what they should state is everywhere, except where we put guests!!

I briefly met our host Carmel, when I arrived and she was delightfully pleasant and offered me tea, which she served in my room, with a couple of very welcome fairy cakes. I am writing this prior to breakfast, which I imagine will be equally tasty and generous.

So as I said in my opening statement, don't waste your time looking for a mid budget hotel, where you might be met by surly, disinterested staff, when you can enjoy staying at the Cherish End B&B.

Room Tip: Great room but might be a bit chilly!

6 of us stayed for one night when we attended an equine event about 20 minutes from Cherish End. Carmel gave us a warm, friendly welcome, bedrooms and en suites were well equipped and clean and the cooked breakfast set us up for the day. I would certainly stay again if in area and would recommend.

Due to a wedding at Whipsnade zoo we checked the internet for a place to stay over night. We compared a number of places mainly the large inns and lodges and then we come across this small family run b&b Cherish End with just 7 bedrooms. On reading the past reviews from all that we first chose, the Cherish End come out on top. We this information we booked our double room.
We arrived on the 5th Oct 13 and was met by the owner Carmel who had a friendly face and tone to her voice. She informed us about everything we needed to know during our stay and more. She showed us our room and explained the times for breakfast and handed us our room key 5. On checking the room and bathroom we found it to be basic but very clean with the sheets being nice and white plus fresh and crisp. The tv , sky, kettle, lights shower hair dryer all worked. The book in the room was full of useful tips and information.
We had our night out and returned back to our room and had a good nights sleep due to it being so quite in the area.
In the morning their was a selection of cereals with orange and apple jucies. We both had the full english with toast and tea.I was not disapointeded at all, i dont think i could of done it better meself.
The thing we took away from our stay at Cherish End was that Carmel was more than happy to please you in making your stay a good one because she enjoyed doing the job rather than some of these big inns and lodge employees doing it because they are getting paid.
Home from home stay. Great value for money. Would choose this place first if we was staying in the area again.
Highly recommend :)

We stayed here from 2-4th October. We used it as a base for Whipsnade Zoo, and must say it was amazing. We were in room 3, the bed was massive, there was a floor to ceiling window over looking the garden which was lovely. The room was spotless and the bathroom was a well. The bathroom was really well stocked, shampoo, conditioner etc. The shower was amazing, really powerful which I love. The only slight negative was that the shower pipes made a lot of noise when using it, this didn't bother us, but maybe it did the other rooms, i'm not sure. The cooked breakfast was lovely and you got ample amount. You could also ask for anything you wanted and the lovely owners would make it for you.
All in all it was a lovely few days in excellent accommodation, almost like a home from home. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if we visit the area again. Highly recommend to anyone :)

Room Tip: Room 3 was amazing, huge bed and lovely garden views.

Just spent the weekend at The Cherish End. Had a very pleasent stay at this quiet unassuming BnB. Greeted with hot drinks and cakes, rooms very comfortable and clean Also a very well stocked bathroom. It was also a nice touch having a full Sky T.V package and free wi-fi.
It was so quiet there that we didn't realise how many quests were staying until we went down to breakfast. Very good value for money and great full english breakfast.

only stayed one night at this lovely little bed and breakfast and have nothing negative to say about it. Tea and cakes were served to us as soon as we arrived, breakfast was brilliant. The room was very spacious and extremely clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner.

When we arrived we were very tired after a four hour journey and having spent nearly 3 hours on the M25 alone, were in desperate need of a cup of tea! Carmel came out into the rain to greet us and helped us in with our bags and then made us a pot of very welcome tea. Very nice clean and confortable generous sized room with huge bed! Bathroom basic but clean and with lots of toiletries. Carmel was very welcoming and breakfast was a good size with plenty of toast and tea. Only a 15 minute drive from Whipsnade Zoo which is amazing.
