4 adults (Mum, Dad, Two daughters) we arrived at the zoo around 11am and paid for the zoo parking (extra £25). The parking was a benefit as we were able to carry all jackets and our lunch around in the car with us. The views were amazing and the animal enclosures were large, this was good to see as the animals had large spaces to roam in, also meant that there was not a lot of crowding. There is a lot of space to park you car but the zoo map only shows a few places.

There is so much to see, the elephants walk around the zoo holding each others tail, the lions sleep near the glass wall so you can see them up close and there are so many penguins. Taking the car in meant we could take part in the safari section, this also allowed us to access the picnic area on top of the large hill and we could see all the wildlife around us. The zoo has animals which are free to roam around wherever they please and that was amazing to see.

There are plenty on benches to sit on and lots of toilets so that was a benefit, staff were lovely always on hand to explain anything or to point us in the right direction.

I loved this visit and would recommend it to anyone, children and adults alike!

4 Adults (Mum,Dad, Grandma & Grandad) plus one 5 year old. We paid for in zoo parking (£25 per car) not realising what a bonus this was - you get to drive to different parts of the zoo which makes it great for people with limited mobility or just little legs needing a rest. If you are fit and skint take the free parking directly over the road from the entrance. We visited on Bank Holiday sunday and although busy didnt feel overcrowded
The animals are really up close and personal. Although some are across the field the big hitters are well presented for you to see without seeming to be caged. In fact all the animals looked fit and content. If you can follow the 'meet the ..... ' it forms a good route around from the main entrance. The free roaming wallabys and mara are really amusing as they bound past you or wander under the fences oblivious to the humans watching.
The food was of decent quality and reasonable price - our only complaint was that it took so long in the queue. This was mainly due to the coffee taking time to brew - buy cold drinks or tea people!
I have to really praise the toilets. They are plentiful, clean, have toilet paper, hot water and soap and didn'y pong. What a nice surprise!
This is not a bargain day out but it is a great experience and put up against the theme parks is great value for money with a big nod to environmental resposibility and protecting species.
Better value than ZSL London Zoo by far

I had always driven around the zoo, but on this visit decided to park and walk. The zoo was much busier than I expected, it wad great to see this level of attendance. The zoo is obviously well suported financially and is in very good condition and the animals have plenty of space. I think walking around the zoo is much better than driving, we were lucky to see the elephants walking in a train linking trucks and tails.

A really good family day out but it is not cheap! Add on lunch and an ice cream and you'll want to make sure to stay right up until closing time!
One of the best things we did was to buy an annual family ticket, the initial outlay once again is not cheap but you only have to visit a couple of times to make that back and its always a good place to visit.
