“Amazing value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2013 via mobile

Just spent a night with family at this Premier Inn the first time we have visited one. These guys really are raising the bar - just £29 for a immaculately clean, modern room with comfy beds and quality bed linens, large quality TV and tea/coffee making facilities and a bathroom with bath and lots of hot water. What more could you ask for? Amazing and puts a lot of hotels to shame. Only minor issue is that walls seem a bit thin and noise from other guests was easily heard. We all slept well though and that's what you want. Followed up our stay with an excellent and also great value breakfast at the pub restaurant next door. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Really pleased.

We booked this hotel as we were returning from Luton during the night and it was the closest to our Airparks parking.

Really its in the middle of knowhere, but for the purposes we needed it for, the location was not really a problem. Although if booking again, I'd probably go for one of the other premier inn's a little closer to civilisation.

Room:

Standard PI room with the trademark comfy bed and recently refurbished from what the website says. Ideal for our purposes, but if you were staying for more than one night, the lack of a proper wardrobe and storage could be a problem. You'd be living out of your case I suspect!

Even though we'd booked for two people there was only one set of towels, but this was quicky rectified even at 2am in the morning. Only issue with the towels is they looked a little worn around the edges, although they were clean.

A little noisy in the mornings with people going up and down the corridor etc, but surprisingly no noise from the A5 or Luton flightpath.

Bathroom:

Standard PI bathroom and was very clean. Ideally could do with separate toiletries but I suppose they are trying to keep costs down. Having said this, I don't consider PI as budget hotels like Travelodge etc.

Breakfast:

Was served in the Table Table restaurant next door. It was a little grubby in there to be honest, and the decor really needed sorting out.

The food was not the usual buffet style, you had to order from the waitress. Having said that at least it was freshly cooked and ticked all my boxes.

My wife had a continental one, which considering she does not eat much was a little pricy. I would suggest they offer something for light eaters.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the 1st floor overlooking the car park. This is away from the A5!

Having stayed here some years ago I was down in the area on a golf trip, Easy access from main road, friendly welcome and away you are. Restaurant was good and breakfast was decent again although Its getting on for borderline expensive. Road noise and planes overhead can really only be heard if the windows are open. Very clean and comfortable, Would recommend.

Stayed one night here to break up a long journey to the South coast. It was easy to find off the M1 (though you do pass another Premier Inn just off the motorway) and car parking was free and plentiful. This is one of the smaller properties with just two floors. Be aware that there is no lift and if you're on the first floor and have heavy bags, you'll have to carry them up the stairs.

We had a bite to eat in the adjoining pub/ eatery which was reasonable (though I find the Premier Inn's in-house dining at other locations to be superior) As with all Premier Inns, the rooms were clean and comfy and we all had a great night's sleep before getting a good breakfast in us and getting on with our journey.

Would stay again, for sure.

Perfectly located for whipsnade zoo this hotel is clean, comfortable and easy to get to from both the zoo and the M1.

As with all Premier Inns the beds are comfy and the rooms are very clean. Check in was quick and efficient using the check in machines. Heard no noise from the A5 or from the flight path of Luton airport which is right overhead.

Pub next door is a chain pub so does average food but is a good price and is convenient.

Just stayed here for business. Great spacious room and clean. Should have invested in better double glazing though as I was at the front and could here traffic all night from the A5. Great pub next door with helpful staff and great reasonably priced food. Large free car park for residents. Room was at 24 degrees in the evening for most my stay, there was a table top fan in the room but it wasn't brilliant should have fitted air conditioning in the rooms and due to the noise of the traffic didn't want to open the window. Paid £10 for wi-fi for a week which is a great price.

One of the many Premier Inns in the UK. They guarantee you a good nights sleep or money back. I don't think they have to give back too much money as, in my opinion, you can trust these Premier Inns to be okay. Clean, a familiar look whenever you open the door, a spic & span bathroom en suite. And in the morning there's always that breakfast in the adjacent pub where they go to great lengths to satisfy. Never tried a Premier Inn? Just check in there and you won't be disappointed.
