Once again Flitwick Manor came up with the goods! We had organised a surprise party for my husbands birthday and the staff kept the surprise going until we were shown into the beautifully panelled private dining room. The food was exellent and as usual the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. This is not the first time we have had a function at the Manor nor will it be the last, it's good to be able to rely on such consistently high standards. The hotel is in a lovely setting and the whole atmosphere is one of relaxed comfort with a wonderful ambience.

Only stayed one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. The car parking seemed fairly higgledy piggledy in between large trees and it was tricky finding a spot as we were late in the evening. The receptionist was very polite on our late arrival and showed us to our room.

The hotel is lovely. We had a room that was filled with antiques. The bed was large and comfortable. It was generally clean too. A few fixtures in the bathroom could do with an update. We had a lovely view of the grounds and our room was quiet and cosy.

The breakfast room was fairly small and was full when we came down, but the staff got us some tea as we waited at the seats in the hall. My partner had a cooked breakfast and he said it tasted great. I had poached eggs that were cooked to order perfectly.

I would love to stay again for a longer stay. There does seem to be great variation in the prices people pay but I am sure some good offers are out there.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to family but what a find!
We stayed over Christmas on their Christmas package. It’s a hotel that’s full of character, ideally suited to a traditional British Christmas. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent and seemingly non-stop! We had 5 of the rooms and each was unique, clean, warm and comfortable with fresh homemade biscuits every day.
We will definitely return.

A lovely hotel, friendly, helpul staff, excellent food (and plenty of it). Our room was lovely, clean, warm and comfortable . Very large with a huge bed. The room with the disco was a bit too small for all the guests to dance comfortably, but being an old building probably not much can be done about that. We would recommend the hotel for a special celebration

Room Tip: Room 9 has a huge sleigh bed

Great staff, great food, warm welcome. We have been to Flitwick Manor a number of times to celebrate special occasions and this time they exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms are becoming a little tired but very clean and comfortable all the same. The evening dining experience was wonderful for us and our 24 guests and breakfast was great too. Our thanks go to all involved.

We were in room 2 and my in-laws had room 1. Considering we both paid the same price for the evening our room was very small compared to theirs which should have been reflected in the price.
Both our rooms were above the music room which meant we could not go to sleep until the music stopped. A word of warning there.
The radiator in the bedroom would not shut off so we had to have the windows open in the bedroom and bathroom. The TV kept losing the signal. The staff were just too busy to do anything about this.
Our bathroom was nice and clean although my in-laws had problems with flushing the toilet. I understand this was reported but the problem was still there in the morning
Service in the evening left a lot to desire. We meet in the music room for Champaign and canapés and other groups that came in after us and got served before us. In the end we had to go and ask for ours.
Service during the dinner was fine and the food was nice. Difficult I know at this sort of even but did think the choice was not good.
After dinner we had no choice but to stay at our table or go to the room as there was nowhere to sit. I think a few too many people for the evening with not much room.
Breakfast service was not good. We sat down and after 10 min we had to go and find someone to serve us. When they did turn up that had to go away again to get a pad to write down what we wanted. The food was nice.
Overall I was disappointed with the evening and stay considering the amount of money it cost.
We have a voucher to return to this hotel which we had before we booked New Year. Not sure about returning.
Such a shame as we were really looking forward to the event. The staff did try but think there is some training issues that need addressing.

I do agree with the review before. Not the right place for a disco.

Room Tip: Do not go for 1 or 2 if there is a chance of music being played at an event

We were welcomed by lovely staff. Our rooms were in the courtyard as we had our dog with us. He was welcomed as well and got lots of fuss and attention The bedrooms were clean and comfortable It's a period property with period furnishings and it felt like a big country home and not a hotel. Afternoon tea was good with plenty of it and the new years eve dinner was very good. Service was also brill through out our stay. There was six of us in our party and we all felt the same. Our only criticism was the entertainment. The venue does not really lend itself to a disco area. So maybe a margee adjoining the music room so it makes it easier for people to sit and dance all in the same area Having said that it did not impact our night as we joined in at midnight and went back to chilling out in another room. So all in all a great night had by all. Breakfast was hot and lovely. we def would recommend the hotel.
