“Fabulous as usual!”
Reviewed 26 September 2010

I wanted to arrange a birthday lunch for my Dad's 80th. As I live in Melbourne, Australia, and was arriving in England only a week or so before his birthday, it was a daunting task. However, Paul from the Fancott was incredibly helpful. He arranged for sourvenir menus and a cake. We used to go to the pub when we lived in Dunstable and I remembered how good it was. There were over 30 people invited on the day, old and young. We had a fabulous day and my Dad enjoyed his special lunch immensley! I cant thank the staff enough. the service was excellent and considering the restaurant was pretty busy on that March Sunday, the meals came in very good time.

“Absolutely fantastic!”
Reviewed 6 June 2010

I arranged a surprise party for my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and couldn't have done it without the help of Tamsin, Sally and all the staff at the Fancott. They were really helpful both before the big event and during the evening. They really did pull out the stops for us.

We've been to the Fancott Arms (it's halfway between Chalton and Toddington villages) many times in the past and have always been impressed by the menu and wide variety of specials available. All the more so because our daughter is severely allergic to milk, eggs and nuts. Most other restaurants, pubs or food outlets would be put off by these allergies, but not the staff at the Fancott. They put us completely at ease with their handling of our daughter's allergies - they were willing to 'mix and match' various parts of their childrens meals and even went as far as to buy a tub of 'Swedish Glace' ice cream especially for her so she could have a nice pudding with us on the night.

We had over 30 friends with us on the night - some lived locally but had not been to the Fancott before - and all of them loved the food and are converts to the pub!

On Friday 5th March our family 23! of us went there for dinner.we had booked it, it was our fathers big 80 birthday, and my sons first baby, we traveled from northamptionshire, others from norfolk, M.K.and local towns. The service was slow, the food price around £12.00 for dinner 1 coarse. Drinks were very expensive. The dinners were small,a gammon was so thin i thought it was spam?12 chips 1 tomoto, two oinion rings?NO pinapple? No salad? We spent around £350 and a bit more! Not good also the pub is located on a rat run road to jun 12 of the M1.
