“Really enjoyed my visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2014 via mobile

I have lived in Buckinghamshire pretty much all my life, and it's funny that I have visited many museums in London and abroad, but not a local one. My advice is GO! Friendly and informative staff and a lovely Old Building.

“Well worth a visit”

Quite small and provides an insight into the history of Amersham and the surrounding area.. Centrally located in the middle of the old market town of Amersham.

“Amersham Revealed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

Hubby and I were the only two brave enough to do the regular Sunday afternoon walk in what turned out to be torrential rain - apart from Roy from the museum, who was kind enough to lead the walk, getting completely soaked on our behalf in the process.

Amersham is a beautiful town, and Roy was expert at pointing out fascinating facts about the buildings, telling us stories of how the town was centuries ago, and giving us excellent insider tip bits.

The whole point of such a walk is to make you see things you previously didn't notice, or failed to understand the significance of, and this Roy did brilliantly. And all for £2 each, which is madness! Surely this has to be the best value entertainment EVER?

The walks cease for the winter but start up again next year. Do it. Seriously, just do it.

“A good way to spend half an hour”

The Amersham Museum is very small but it's a great half hour visit with or without the family. Full of lots of interesting facts.
