We stayed for 3 nights at the end of June 2014. We were warmly welcomed by Helen and Nick, and our heavy luggage taken upstairs. Afternoon tea with home baking after unpacking was much appreciated. We can only endorse all the comments from previous reviewers about the room, its comfort and cleanliness, and also the superb breakfasts. This is obviously a labour of love! We plan to stay there on future visits to Amersham.

Thankyou for taking the time to review Hill House on TripAdvisor. Your time is much appreciated, not only by us but by potential guests. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us for three nights whilst you visited family in the area, I am so pleased you had time to enjoy afternoon tea in the garden, giving you time to recover from your long journey. Nick and I look forward to your return visit whenever that might be and you will be most welcome.

I spent one night at Hill House and loved the experience from the welcoming pot of coffee in solitude admiring the beautiful secluded garden to the very comfortable and well appointed room overlooking it. Helen Nick and John made my stay as pleasant as it could have been. Highly recommended.

How kind of you to post such a complimentary review on TripAdvisor. I was especially pleased to read that you enjoyed your pot of coffee, whilst enjoying the garden - that is both secluded and peaceful. Your bedroom overlooking the rear garden has the benefit of the morning sunshine which is an added bonus. I was so interested to hear you reminisce about your time living in Chesham Bois, some years ago. If ever you are back from Cape-Town and visiting the area then you'd always be welcome. It was a pleasure for Nick and I to meet you and John did too!

My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago as had a function in the area. The house and gardens are lovely, and the en-suite room we had was very nicely presented with all the items you could need. If anything was needed I am sure Helen would have helped as she was very accommodating. As we were out in the evening Helen has shown us a key safe so we could let ourselves in which was very handy.
Breakfast was lovely, very good produce and nice coffee.
We would recommend staying here and will be back if ever in the area again.

Thankyou for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor and for your very complimentary comments. I am so pleased that your first ever cream tea was enjoyed at Hill House!
It was an absolute delight, to see you both leaving for the Summer Ball looking so fabulous and on such a perfect summers evening. It was a pleasure to meet you both and you'd be very welcome anytime, hopefully in the not too distant future.

A totally excellent experience five-star quality but with a friendly family atmosphere could not fault it spotlessly clean, very comfortable, food excellent. I would certainly return and would consider it more like a small spa break than a bed and breakfast.

Room Tip: The lack of swimming pool and fitness centre not a problem !

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor and for your complimentary remarks!
A mini Spa Break - well that is excellent, that you left feeling that you'd had an excellent five-star experience. That is my aim, so your confirmation is very pleasing to hear. I do hope you return, it was a pleasure to accommodate you for your friends Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Located in a quiet road in Amersham within walking distance of the town (approx. 15 mins). The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable, I had a lovely en suite. Breakfasts were superb, beautifully presented in the conservatory looking out into Helen's lovely garden. There is a separate sitting room where you can relax in the evening. I was on a five day course in Amersham and Helen provided me with a delicious packed lunch each day. Nothing was too much trouble and they have thought of everything down to the smallest detail to make your stay comfortable and very relaxing. I highly recommend Hill House.

Stayed here for 3 nights over the May bank holiday and it was perfect. We stayed in the room without an en suite but the bathroom was just across the landing which was not a problem and Helen had provided a dressing gown in the bedroom. The breakfasts were amazing and beautifully presented. The first day we had a cooked breakfast and the second day we had continental breakfast both of which were outstanding. The fresh fruit salad to start was a nice surprise! Helen and Nick are very friendly and make you feel welcome in their home. The B & B is situated in a quiet leafy village in the outskirts of London and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Helen gave us some good recommendations for things to visit and places to eat. Would stay here again.

This bed and breakfast is very nicely located - close enough to London to easily access the city but far enough away to give you the feeling you're in the country. Even though you're just a few minutes away from Heathrow we were never bothered by air traffic noise (nor by any road traffic). The only sound that encroached on our solitude was bird song :) The breakfasts we were served were excellent - food was healthful and plentiful with lots of variety. Our bed was very comfortable. Wi-fi was free and fast.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. So many of my guests comment on just how quiet the area is. Considering we are only 25 minutes from Heathrow airport, 10 minutes from M25 motorway and 13 minutes walk to Amersham station served by underground and overground trains and are surrounded by a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So, we are very fortunate to be at the hub of three great transport links and makes getting to London so easy - in fact we are only 35minutes away from London by train.
I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay. We enjoyed your visit and look forward to you returning sometime soon.
