We went for one night and are we glad it was only the one!!
Good points: Excellent leisure - warm pool, clean, hot tub was excellent. Steam/Sauna very good. Unfortuantley these were the only good things. Apart from Hanah the Duty Manager at that time she was very helpful.
Things to do: Nice countryside - although you have to travel 5 minutes by car to get to it as this hotel is on the main road and backs on to an industrial park - not the best view! Also a Tesco around teh corner and 5 minutes drive to the town centre.
Bad points: Breakfast - terrible. I used to think when i read reviews how can breakfast be bad? Well, cheap bacon with white fatty skin coming of - this is a sign that the bacon has been watered down so its the water escaping from it. So the bacon was undercooked, rubbery and cheap tasting. Hash Browns soaked in oil/fat that were uneatable. Beans - i must of found 10 beans in my entire portion!! The rest was just about eatable. Nevertheless we only ate a little.
Rooms - ok, reasonable size. We had the executive room and if that was the exec room then i hate to think what the standard rooms were like!! We had a 4ft 6in standard double and we must of woken up atleast 20 times throughout the night - the bed was way too hard and the duvet was a simple white sheet with a very basic annoying cover - no comfort at all.
Do yourself a favour - dont come here as i had a bad back and instead of having a break i went home exhausted from lack of sleep.
3 star, shoud be 2 star.
