“Wonderful”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April. Really nice rooms with all amenities and a great feel to it. We cooked, had a fire and sat on the balcony area looking over the fields with a glass of wine, went walking through the beautiful surrounding countryside and had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend.

The harvest moon barn was exactly the kind of cottage we were looking for- clean, charming place, with a wood fire, in the English countryside.

“Beautiful spot”

When planning our holidays from the Netherlands, we searched for a quiet place outside the hectic London region, central enough to make day trips to London, Watford, Isle of Wight, Southampton, Milton Keynes, and enjoy Britisch nature and countryside at the same time. This Barn is perfectly located for this, really comfortable and beautifully decorated, although you really need means of transport (car) to get there and do some sightseeing in the surroundings. It is an excellent spot to relax. As a tip to visit London from Steeple Claydon, we preferred to go by car (train appears quite expensive), parked our car in the large parking area at Edgware station and took an off-peak day ticket for the London underground from there. This worked very well for us and was very affordable. Last but not least: a very friendly and helpful host. Thank you Christine for your support, you made our stay just unforgettable!

“World class experience”

This place knocks spots of any hotel; resort - Anything! I double and triple dare u to find a better experience than this. I'm well travelled, and stay In the best hotels there is. But I booked this because it looked like the most perfect escape from bossy room service , car park fees, general public and all the drawbacks of 5* first class level business travel.

This place is world class - you don't for a second feel like you miss your mod cons and space u have at home. It has it all.
And its In the most beautiful location I've ever been, including paso robles In California and waiheke island In New Zealand.

For as far as you can see, its fields of all description , its just divine and so peaceful.

But its what's been laid on that makes the difference!
Christine the owner met us - what a woman ! She literally couldn't so anymore or offer more help

The barn is outstanding- and she said it was all her idea . Her family all live In the beautiful manor house 200m away - which is so lovely to know! We can't hear them and they can't hear us, but if u need something - her and her family are there for u! They even gave us a lift to the local pub and and showed us around!

The barn is beautiful - I've struggled to find , and I can't - anything I want improved or adapted ,
Except a rack for shoes! That's it !
Not like me at all!

The log fire, the super high quality linens on the bed , the chairs and rugs, the washing machine and dish washer and microwave and all the cutlery and utensils and coffee machine

They haven't held back on spending money here - it shows - there's nothing at all that you feel is cutting corners - this is the best value for money -
And time - there is. Close enough to a town but far enough to be fields and fields from anywhere

I want to live there !

Just beautiful !

Thank you

“A brilliant cottage to have as a holiday home!”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had a brilliant family holiday at The Harvest Moon Barn. A great base to explore various parts of Buckinghamshire and the surrounding Counties. The Cottage was clean and very, very comfortable. We were made very welcome by the owners.

“Just an amazing place to go and stay”
Reviewed 11 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed at the Barn for a long weekend. Christine was so welcoming and friendly. The Barn was immaculate, very well equipped and we had a super welcome pack. We took our 6 year old granddaughter with us, she sat on one of the window sills and said what a beautiful view and so peacful. Everything about it was just lovely it felt as though you were miles from anywhere, but it is conveniently placed for lots of things to see and places to visit. We loved it and will hopefully be visiting again soon.
