“Smashing place to stay”

Lovely cottage in great location. Friendly owners who have equipped the cottage excellently. Plenty to do and see locally and some good pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Well worth a visit.

“Little Thatch paradise - all the bounties of spring in one exquisite place.”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The cottage was fabulous - very well appointed and very friendly hosts. The garden is a tranquil paradise and the birdsong was lovely. Izzie the cat made us very welcome, too. It was well situated to local attractions - Boarstall Tower was a highlight, so just make sure you leave a bit of time on a Wednesday afternoon or you'll miss it!

“Picturesque, quiet, secluded.”
Reviewed 2 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

A delightful historic cottage with modern amenities creating a wonderful holiday experience. It is hard to believe that such quiet seclusion exits within a close car distance of towns and railway stations. It is very welcoming as are the hosts, dog and cat. Warm and cosy in all weathers and so don't let the British winter put you off. Would loved to have stayed longer but pressed for time. A week is not long enough!

“Brilliant stay”
Reviewed 28 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Absolutely loved the cottage and surroundings, so easy to relax and the place itself is equipped with everything you need. The welcome basket is great and Jane was really helpful with local recommendations etc. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the country! Thanks!

“Escape to the Country”
Reviewed 6 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Delightful cottage with gorgeous gardens. We were lucky with the weather and were able to have breakfast in the garden. It was so nice it was difficult to move from the garden! But we did go to enjoy a different type of garden at Stowe, which is not far away.

Jane, the owner, is very friendly and helpful with tips on where to visit, etc. The cottage is well equipped, including welcoming provisions.

We have no hesitation in recommending the cottage, and we hope to stay again in the future.
