“Made our Grand Prix experience perfect”

Having booked the cottage for the F1 Grand Prix weekend, we could not have made a better choice. The location was perfect, helping us avoid all the traffic and the cottage was lovely to return to after such busy long days. Although small, it is perfect for 2 with a good lounge, kitchen and bathroom. There was a large built in wardrobe in the bedroom, so everything could be tidily put away. Nice to have a full Sky package on TV.
Having the farm shop next door was great to buy anything from food for picnics or cakes for treats. Everyone was lovely and helpful and we found a cream tea, cake, eggs and milk awaiting us when we arrived. The local pubs were good for evening meals and the farm shop for breakfast if you chose that option.
Our Grand Prix long weekend was brilliant and it was undoubtedly enhanced by having The Old Dairy as our base.

“Fantastic cottage in Buckinghamshire countryside”
Reviewed 14 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

My partner and I stayed at the Old Dairy for a long weekend in April and such a lovely break. Situated on a working farm, the cottage is well equipped & has a lovely little garden with views where we had a nice BBQ in the sunshine.

We were lucky the weaher was really good during our stay and the sun was shining all weekend. We enjoyed walks around Stowe Landscape gardens and my partner had a track day at Silverstone driving a Ferrari which was given to him as a birthday present!!

There was a lovely little welcome pack of eggs and milk when we arrived which was a nice touch. The apartment was in great condition and located next to the farms Farm shop which meant we didnt have to go anywhere to source yummy locally produced food.

All in all we had a great stay at the Old Dairy and will be coming back next year for our Easter break!

“Lovely bank holiday break”

Just what we needed for a short bank holiday break. Small, cute little place big enough for two. It's not huge but doesn't claim to be and was all we needed. Comfortable and homely. Exactly as expected. Kitchen well equipped and we stocked up in the farm shop next door with some essentials like tea and coffee provided for. We had said we would be arriving late and Rosemary and Richard - owners who live next door - had thoughtfully left a jug of milk in the fridge. In the end we arrived a little earlier than anticipated and Richard and Rosemary stopped by to make sure we were settled. Parking is just outside the Old Dairy entrance - essentially the farm shop parking area - so conveniently located. We got our arrival cream tea the following day from the shop which was yummy. Had breakfast in the shop/restaurant next door on out first morning which was just what we needed. Excellent service in the shop and we were made to feel very welcome by all staff, not just by Rosemary and Richard. Visited a few nearby areas just to lazily pass the time and soak up the countryside. We were always happy to come 'home' at the end of the day to the Old Dairy and relax. Mind the step into the kitchen if you are tall - you need to remember to duck - my other half wasn't paying attention once and banged his head so just be careful. Head room not an issue otherwise. A few spiders here and there but that's normal in the country! The place was clean and tidy and evidently an effort is being made to look after the place. There is no door from the kitchen into the bedroom in case that bothers you. We would still come back nevertheless and would hope to use the garden next time. Was very sunny during our stay but a little chilly and after exploring nearby we were happy indoors. All in all we had a lovely stay. The place was just what we expected and as I said we were happy there and hope to return. Thanks to all for your hospitality.
