“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013

Travelzoo package was a great deal. However even without a special deal the Villiers was a delight. Really helpful, friendly staff, great food and comfy bed. As well as Bletchley Park, Norman church at nearby Stewkley is not to be missed. The Roald Dahl museum in Great Missenden is also well worth a visit even without children/grandchildren - but brilliant if accompanied by them!!

Room Tip: Room 121 spacious and with a great deep bath.

Dinner and breakfast here was excellant but found the rooms to be very tired and basic in much need of updating, carpets were threadbare and bathroom in need of refurbishment, all in all ok and in a good position for the area

Pleased to read you had enjoyed the culinary experience during your recent stay. Noted your disappointment with the room allocated to you; refurbishment of the hotel is on-going, a large number of the rooms have already undergone refurbishment with the next phase underway.
We hope to be able to offer our hospitality to you in the future.

Stayed with my husband for 2 nights on a travel zoo package and checked reviews on trip advisor before booking. All the positive feed back was correct. The room (103) was fabulous ,spacious with 2 comfy armchairs to snuggle up in when we came back after a day out for a relax before the evening meal. Bed was enormous but very comfortable. The food on the market menu was very good though perhaps would have wanted a change after two nights and not sure how often it was changed. Staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and courteous ,nothing was too much trouble. In fact the only thing I would say was not so good was the low energy bulbs....but we just put them on earlier than normal to warm up. Would and in fact already have recommended the hotel to friends and family will definitely visit again. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Room 103 was lovely.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable and great value 2 night break at the Villiers Hotel which we booked through Travelzoo. The offer included a visit to Bletchley Park with a complimentary season ticket to return (which we definitely will do). The 3 course dinner from the market menu was beautifully presented and delicious. Thanks to the chef and team for their consistent high quality food both nights. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and polite, as well as the reception staff. The bedroom was spacious and clean with good en-suite facilities. The museum/gaol is also worth a visit in Buckingham (a few minutes walk from the hotel) and includes a display of some of the props from the BBC's Lark Rise to Candleford series. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were given a room on the 2nd floor, not overlooked, quiet.

We have just enjoyed a couple of lovely days at this hotel. The staff were great, the room was a delight and the food was exceptional. It was a perfect location for site seeing to Bletchley Park and the Bicester Shopping outlet. Sadly we were not there long enough to sample the health spa which is located about 5 minutes away. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

With free inclu tickets for Station X (Bletchley Park) inclu D, B&B a 'no brainer' with Travelzoo! Nice quiet room assured & as promised! Lovely warm welcome, helpful and attentive staff! Food excellent & presentation good! Only one comment and slight concern - as we both ended up having a repeat meal on the second night; due to no change in the menu over a weekend! Otherwise, I would say an excellent w/end!

We booked this hotel as a Travelzoo offer, and were not disappointed. It is a very comfortable hotel, with friendly and helpful staff - and central to many places. We upgraded to a premier room at very little cost - and found it well worth the extra. We would certainly use this hotel again.
