I couldn't fault this hotel .....except the beer is too dear!
Everything else is spot on, Room and bed comfortable. Massive bathroom (and bath) with loads of hot water. Wifi in room fine [a little slow} even though reception says it is only any good in the lounge. We were on a travel zoo offer sohb inc...breakfast lovely and 'table d'hote' fine but choice a little limited. The a la carte looked pricey.
Overall 9/10

Room Tip: All good!!

We stayed at Villiers for two nights on special break which included tickets to Bletchley Park. It is in a good central location and everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations, we had a lovely room overlooking the pebbled courtyard, clean and spacious, comfy bed, large bathroom, plenty of storage and, unusually, plenty of lighting just where needed, ie bathroom , dressing table mirror and bedside. Dinner from the market menu was delicious, well presented and served by very attentive and friendly staff, as was the hearty breakfast. All very good - many thanks.....

Room Tip: Ours was quiet, 2nd floor, overlooking courtyard

Villiers makes you feel you are in safe hands, the staff are helpful, professional and good at their jobs, from the minute you arrive everything runs like a well oiled machine. The rooms are very smart but comfortable - very nice bed and bedding - lovely and comfy, warm and smooth. Furnishings are well made and fit well with the age of the hotel , traditional without being stuffy. The bathroom was clean, spacious and simple but elegant. Lighting in the room also very nice, lots of choice of mood lighting or functional. The hotel's exterior is being refurbished and has scaffolding up, which does unfortunately spoil the outside appearance at the moment, but didn't detract from the weekend's enjoyment of this hotel in a nice market town.
We had two lovely 3 course meals from the restaurant's Market menu, and they were fantastic, especially the chicken with butternut squash and the braised steak, melted on the fork. Breakfasts very good, using local produce and always the staff very efficient and sweet.

Travelzoo package was a great deal. However even without a special deal the Villiers was a delight. Really helpful, friendly staff, great food and comfy bed. As well as Bletchley Park, Norman church at nearby Stewkley is not to be missed. The Roald Dahl museum in Great Missenden is also well worth a visit even without children/grandchildren - but brilliant if accompanied by them!!

Room Tip: Room 121 spacious and with a great deep bath.

Dinner and breakfast here was excellant but found the rooms to be very tired and basic in much need of updating, carpets were threadbare and bathroom in need of refurbishment, all in all ok and in a good position for the area

Pleased to read you had enjoyed the culinary experience during your recent stay. Noted your disappointment with the room allocated to you; refurbishment of the hotel is on-going, a large number of the rooms have already undergone refurbishment with the next phase underway.
We hope to be able to offer our hospitality to you in the future.

Stayed with my husband for 2 nights on a travel zoo package and checked reviews on trip advisor before booking. All the positive feed back was correct. The room (103) was fabulous ,spacious with 2 comfy armchairs to snuggle up in when we came back after a day out for a relax before the evening meal. Bed was enormous but very comfortable. The food on the market menu was very good though perhaps would have wanted a change after two nights and not sure how often it was changed. Staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and courteous ,nothing was too much trouble. In fact the only thing I would say was not so good was the low energy bulbs....but we just put them on earlier than normal to warm up. Would and in fact already have recommended the hotel to friends and family will definitely visit again. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Room 103 was lovely.
