My partner and i recently went to Stoke Place and had a really lovely time. The first and most favourite thing about the venue are the grounds, which are wonderful for walking, entertaining a family, holding a wedding or an event. The place is going to be even more beautiful in the summer when the flowers and trees are in full force.

The venue has a very trendy, quirky feel to it and so is very different to the normal bog standard hotel. Each room in the house is different and has a theme to it. The rooms are light and bright with a mixture of traditional and modern furniture that works well and is all in keeping with the property. For bedrooms, i would choose to stay in the manor house. Although the others are very nice, it is lovely to be part of the main house (if they are available). The decor of the rooms are of a good choice and have all the facilities that you need. We stayed in the Queen Anne Suite which was a lovely spacious suite, with dark wooden furniture and beautiful large windows with great views. Comfy beds too.

I beleive a spa is coming soon which will be great for the venue, however there is a massage/ beauty treatment service in room.

It’s a really nice place and very versatile. You can hold a small conference, take over the venue exclusively in the week, hold a wedding or go for a romantic weekend with your partner. There are lots of countryside things to do nearby and it is not an exhaustive journey from London so you will come back refreshed!

We have just hosted a dinner party for friends at this idyllic boutique hotel. The setting is magical - beautiful house surrounded by delightful grounds with lake. Inside the hotel is lovely - classic but with funky elements. The food was delicious. We had a wonderful evening with friends and would really recommend the hotel.

I booked this hotel as a valentines treat for my partner and we were not disappointed !

I orginally booked the valentines package which included dinner, bed and breakfast for the Saturday night but they contacted me a few days before our stay and offered me the Friday or Sunday night for half price (bed and breakfast). I thought this was a very good deal and took advantage.

We had an executive double which was very nice. Lovely dark wood furniture and a massive bed. The bathroom was great, with a bath and a separate shower. They also provided lots of very nice Aveda products which made the bathroom smell like a luxurious spa!

All of the food we had during the weekend was to die for and the service on Valentines was amazing. Michael the manager has very good attention to detail.

We travelled to Windsor and Eton Riverside train station and then got a taxi to the hotel which cost £11.00.

The grounds are lovely, well worth a look around.

We will definatley be going back again soon !

This is the best hotel experience I have had anywhere in the world! Stoke Place combines 5 star luxury with personal friendly service and attention to detail. The hotel has a lot of character as the building dates back to about 1690. The decor is very tasteful and elegant.

We stayed in a suite and I could not fault it. The suite was beautiful. It had a roll-top bath and 2 sinks in an area partioned off from the main sleeping area, and it also had a separate bathroom with a shower in it. Everything feels very luxurious, from the Aveda toiletries and bathroom robes & slippers to the huge widescreen TV. Even the complimentary teas, coffees and soft drinks are top-brand. The bed is extremely comfortable!

The service is excellent. Before we arrived, we were asked about our personal preferences to do with bedding, food etc. Throughout the whole experience, including check-in etc, you are made to feel very special. The staff really give it a personal touch.

We stayed on Valentines day, and had an excellent 6-course meal in the restaurant which I thought was very good value (about £35 per head). They had eveything already planned out to take into account our varying dietary requirements, so I am sure they would accommodate any special requirements if you tell them in advance.

Breakfast (ordered through room service) was also very good.

The grounds are beautiful too. The hotel is only about 15 minutes from Windsor, which made a good day-trip.

Overall, the hotel and restaurant were both excellent, and I will definitely be going back. It really is a unique experience.

We really enjoyed Stoke Place, for us it ticks all the boxes and then some.

From the moment you walk in the door and see the two individual chairs to sit and relax in while your reservation is being confirmed to the cool elegant interiors of the bar and the dining room you feel that this is where you want to be. You are in an environment that gives a warm soothing glow and oozes charm and sophistication.

We visited on valentines night and ate off a tasting menu that really was excellent and totally, totally beyond fault. The chef knows his stuff and knows how to deliver it. Little details made a big difference, the fresh rose on the table and the box of chocolates individually placed set the tone for what was a truly splendid occasion.

Rarely will you find a somewhere this good. Stoke Place is special and it’s an experience that you will not be able to stop telling all your friends about. The manager Michael and his team work hard to get it right, and they succeed in spades. It was perfect, I want to go back.

I took a friend for dinner and we stayed over in Dec 08. The hotel is absolutly beautiful - very funky, comfortable and has some lovely design features. My room was a suite which was stunning, a bit hot but I just opened the window and it was fine! The food at the hotel is really good - and they use local seasonal produce so the quality is amazing.

The staff are very friendly and the cosmpolitans were better than those we had tasted in New York!!! On the night we went it was very quiet but this just meant we were able to catch up.

Planning to take the family for Christmas dinner next year and have recommended Stoke Place to a friend who is getting married - it would be the perfect wedding venue if you are looking for something a bit different.

I am trying to think of something negative but really can't - it's just a lovely relaxing place and don't be put off by the Slough post code.....it's a million miles away from Slough Trading estate you see on the office!!! Enjoy.

Business stay, not sure of rate

Room was a bit small but well furnished. The bathroom was tiny, only a shower.

Grounds are lovely and staff are friendly and attentive. About 15 collegues and I came back from Windsor around 12am and they opened the bar for us without complaint and never asked us to finish up, the last person left at close to 3am.
