The total experience was enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble for Sam, Olivia and their staff.
The food was superb and the environment absolutely perfect. We would have no hesitation in recommending Taplow House and its facilities.
The location was fantastic!
Thank you for making our special day so perfect.

We stayed at Taplow for my daughter's wedding in April. What a wonderful day we had. Taplow House played it's part to perfection. We spent some time in the Hampton room.- a huge suite, bright, modern and with glorious views of the lawns. Some rooms face the lawns, others are at the back of the hotel but all are clean and well presented though there are many differing sizes . Access to Taplow Suite was disappointing(past the kitchens) but the room ,terrace and jacuzzi were fine.
The grounds and car park are large and well kept.Inside,we were treated to a country house atmosphere with attentive, polite staff and a reception room to die for! The food was excellent and I cannot imagine a nicer setting for a small wedding. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. A perfect choice.

I live in N Wales but have an office in Slough and therefore have stayed in all the hotels in the Slough and Maidenhead area over the last 6 years. Taplow House is in a convenient location for Slough, Eton, Windsor and Maidenhead.

The house and grounds are charming and lovely to wander round after a long day.

In the past service was a little hit and miss but recently (Is assume due to the new manager) things have really improved. The rooms are very nice, beds extremely comfortable and the overall decor tasteful and smart.

The staff are outstanding, always helpful and friendly without being obsequious. The S African Restaurant Manager is especially good.

The restaurant is excellent with delicious food and prompt service. Value wise the meals are not cheap but good value for what you get.

The price of the rooms is extremely competitive and I have stayed at corporate nightmares like the Holiday Inn in Slough for similar or greater prices.

Business or leisure this is a great place. You will not find a hotel in the area, which is as nice with the level of comfort and service for the same price.

We visited the hotel when our daughter produced our first grandchild, so our choice of hotel was based on location rather than any other factors. We had a delightful surprise when we arrived. The hotel is set in fabulous grounds and the building is elegant and grand.

The staff were without exception attentive, professional and friendly. The decor throughout the hotel is subtle and stylish.
The rooms were very clean , well furnished and had lovely comfy beds and quality bed linen. Our room had great views across the gardens with its specimen trees for which the hotel is noted.

The dining room is charming and tranquil with the views across the garden through the French windows. The breakfast menu offered a good range of quality products that were carefully prepared and served.

Our only regret is that we did not have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant, but we fully intend to remedy this on our next visit.

The staff at this hotel are certainly the main ingredient in the recipe for the successful running of the business and many hotels throughout the land would do well to follow their example.

I would like to thank the staff , especially Julie Horton for their attention and care and we look forward to revisitng the hotel soon.

Thirteen of us had a wonderful Christmas at Taplow House. What made it wonderful? Firstly, the hotel is the epitome of what a Country House Hotel should be: welcoming with a staff for whom nothing is too much trouble; good food and drink; decorated to a high standard - more like a home than a hotel; excellent size rooms. Secondly, the manager and staff were as friendly and helpful as any I have come across in many years of staying in hotels around the world. Thirdly, the hotel is excellently managed by Samuel Goss whose manner is attentive and friendly whilst also being concerned to get the detail right - this has permeated the culture of the hotel. Thirdly, the hotel is in an excellent location - quiet and in beautiful grounds but close to the M4 into London and a main line raiway station which will get you into the centre on London in under an hour. Nearby, is the Thames and the picturesque villages of Bray, Cookham and Marlow.

If I were you I would book early because once word gets around about this hotel I think that it will be difficult to get into.

Two night stay without the kids. Booked a junior suite and were put in the Orkney Room. Very spacious, nice bathroom and fantastic view over gardens. Overall room was one of the best we have had. Restauant a bit mixed - some dishes very good, others just OK. Breakfast fine.

Stayed the first weekend of September at Taplow House. It is an incredible Hotel with a superb setting. The rooms were excellent and the staff were very friendly and professional. Supper at Berry's restaurant was fantastic! Perfect weekend away that is not miles out of London, and lives way beyond the 4 star expectation.
