Description: The André Garrett Dining Room was originally the Drawing Room of the house and is a stunning south-facing spacious room which radiates with sunlight and looks out over the nineteenth-century Parterre, the gardens and River Thames. Its classical elegance and fine works of art give it an enviable touch of romance, and bring the history for which Cliveden is famous to life. Lunch and dinner are served here, offering classic English dishes combined with Cliveden's extensive cellar book. At lunchtimes, chose from the Market menu which offers tremendous value or from the more extensive a la carte selection. At dinner, enjoy award-winning modern classic English cuisine with dishes brimming with fresh seasonal ingredients and local produce. Please note, jeans or sportswear are not permitted at any time. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket for dinner.

The environment is superb. It really makes you feel that you are in another century.
The fact that you have your drink in the lobby, while your table is getting ready and you order
your meal while having your drink makes you feel important.
The food is very good and the new chef has really improved the quality of the menu.
The sommelier is very good at his job and has interesting and not very expensive propositions.
Service is excellent.
And the lunch menus proposed are of a a real bargain for such a place!!!!

I am delighted that we captured the essence of an elegant bygone era for you. It is great to have a nod to the past but in the same breath we aim to offer a style of service which is light and engaging rather than the starchy service that might have been the style way back when.

It is great to read that you enjoyed your food and that our Sommelier steered well. Here's hoping you return to repeat the experience soon. Kind regards Sue W

I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday lunchtime/afternoon. The setting is wonderful and views from the dining room breathtaking. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff and the food is so beautifully presented and delicious. Must make special mention of Melinda who held us totally spellbound with her description of the beef fillet main course. I can't wait to go back!

Recently went for lunch at Cliveden, service and quality of food was excellent.
The restaurant has undergone significant refurbishment since our last visit.
Service from arrival and through the meal was excellent and the quality of the food and presentation also excellent.
We had a table by the window with nice views of the gardens and beyond
Will definitely be returning in the future.

Sunday lunch at Cliveden is a fantastic experience.
From the moment you arrive you realise that you are in for something special-a member of staff comes out to valet park your car, whereafter you are ushered into the magnificent lobby for drinks and amuses bouche.
The restaurant is beautifully furnished and the staff extremely attentive.
Whilst the menu was what one would expect for a Sunday lunch, the beef comprised succulent, tender and thick slices of chateaubriand, cooked to perfection-not to be missed.
Whilst I am reluctant to be critical in any way, there is one drawback-the terrace in front of the restaurant is open to National Trust visitors to the grounds and some of those visitors (too many for my liking) peered into the restaurant as though we were animals in a zoo!
Lunch at Cliveden is expensive, but well worth a visit for a special occasion.
