We stayed one night at Just So Cottage and used it as a base to visit Blenheim Palace and Bletchley Park. We like something a little bit different from corporate hotels (they have their place) and this was everything we expected.
The Cottage is accessed through a side lane where you can park as it goes into what appears to be a bridle path. We called ahead and Anna, the owner, met us outside and showed us where to park.
First impressions were of a picture postcard idyllic cottage. A charming garden meets you when you enter and Anna has created a wonderful tastefully furnished interior which is a credit to her.
We had the largest room which was wonderful with its huge bed, quirky features and the cutest bathroom I have ever seen...lovely. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to leave it!!
We both had the cooked breakfast and it was delicious with lots of home made preserves which my partner tucked into.
We didn't explore Winslow but we did eat in the Paprika restaurant which is at the entrance to the lane. They were busy but very friendly asking us to pop back in 30 mins or so and a table would be ready. This is a lovely cosy little Bistro with a great atmosphere, food is delicious and we thoroughly recommend it.
We will definitely stay here again. Anna is an attentive host with lots of stories and made us extremely welcome....roll on the next trip!

Room Tip: We had the largest room with a huge bed and roll top bath

I've travelled widely during my life and I calculate that my time spent
in hotels adds up to at least an astonishing 4.5 years

The hotels have typically been Radisson, Park Plaza and
Marriott. I've also had the good fortune and pleasure of staying at
Okura in Tokio, Oriental in Bangkok and the Waldorf Astoria in N.Y.

Although my experience of B & B's is somewhat limited my knowledge on
what ticks the boxes for a weary traveller is not. Among all the hotels
I have stayed at there is simply nothing quite like Just So Cottage in
Winslow. The entrance through a classic English garden to a half
timbered cottage is quite breathtaking and makes you feel welcomed
immediately. Inside, the guest lounge is cosy and inviting and has a
charm all of it's own.

All the rooms are styled with excellent taste. Everything is spotlessley clean and
there is all you need to make your stay comfortable. The old building
itself adds another dimension and tremendous charm to the stay.

The pleasure of a proper full English breakfast, cooked to perfection,
is something we don't have too often. However, it would be nothing
without Anna our extremely charming owner and host of Just So Cottage.
Sunshine, wind or rain Anna is always in a good mood and ready with a
quick remark as well as song or two from the kitchen.

We enjoy a stay once a year and are already looking forward to our
return visit .

We stayed in this lovely cottage to be close to Silverstone (the prices aren't hiked up at this time like a lot of places!) and had a wonderful stay. It's in a picturesque town and the bedroom we stayed in was full of character and very comfy, with nice en suite facilities. There was also a welcoming lounge area and a beautiful area to eat it. Anna was incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as cooking us a tasty full breakfast in the morning! Parking wasn't a problem, but we did park a 2 minute walk away rather than right outside. I'll be heartily recommending to any friends or family who are travelling down that way!

Had a one night stay at this beautiful cottage, the rooms were tastefully furnished, they were obviously small but that is part of its character, shower cubicle in the bedroom with powerful rainfall shower head. Comfy bed, lovely linen, lovely freshly cooked breakfast set us up for the day. Would recommend Paprika restaurant just a minute walk from the cottage. The garden looked amazing, all Anna, the owners own work, a real high spot of our holiday!!

Room Tip: The first floor room is very charming.

A cottage from the 17th century in an idyllic environment made for a romantic weekend getaway. As the cottage is built in the 17th century, so beware of the ceiling level. The inn has only three rooms, but well worth a visit. Very friendly personal service by the owner Anna and you get a perfectly cooked English full breakfast. No credit cards though accepted.
