Sunday around midday noon and a visit into the Bridge House . Having never been in before and with a Weatherspoon wannabe next door I did not hold out much hope but we tried it . Sitting outside by the river on a sunny day is always good but the menu did not suggest it would get even better . Very wrong . A simple cheese and bacon burger and Lasagne presented with a lovely dressed fresh salad . Both meals were moist fresh and full of flavour and very filling . Simple good pub food the likes of which surprised us enough to warrant this review . As with all places there is a down side and invariably it is a human that brings it down . The waiting staff could hardly raise a smile and when the table was cleared not a word was uttered . Oh well the food was lovely , long may it continue .

Took us a little while to attract waiters attention and they werent very helpful. Once food ordered came very quickly but My special board goulash arrived cold when I advised them it came back 5 mins later super hot I could hardly eat it and the new potatoes in it had turned to mush! Hubbies ploughman's was nice though.

Visiting from Canada. Had previously stopped for drinks and thought it would be a nice place to have the Sunday dinner. Food was very nice. Have to comment on our server, a very surly young man. Did not make eye contact and absolutely no people skills. In Canada we tip for service. Unfortunately spoilt our evening. The young man behind the bar was however very pleasant.

All staff at this Pub/Restaurant where nice and the food was good too. Brought the dog who was also welcome inside the pub as well as in the really nice outside dinning area.

What a lovely pub in a great location. The refurb is really nice and there is a lovely outdoor seating area. Can't comment on food. How EVER, the biggest letdown in our book here is the landlady. Had a few snippy interactions with her which always make us hesitate to go back. Most recently we were entertaining friends from elsewhere, and brought them into St Neots. Stopped here for a drink later in the evening. It was 9.45pm. Ordered a couple of pints, a coke and *gasp* a coffee. 'You can't have coffee, I've just turned the machine off.' Oh. Not even 10pm and you turn the coffee machine off? Would have been more convincing if, not even 15 mins later, we hadn't seen the landlady making a drink at the coffee machine! Have not been back since. What a poor advertisement for what generally is such a nice place.
