Great place for walking and biking. Nicely tucked away in St. Neots making it perfect for relaxation. Education centre and cafe are also great :)

If you want to enjoy a walk and to see many types of birds, Paxton pits ticks all the boxes. The trails are very tranquil. The cafe and education centre is well staffed and the staff are very helpful and pleasant.

I can highly recommend visiting this reserve. I have been numerous times and am never disappointed. There is a selection of trails of differing lengths but all with plenty of birds and at this time of year, butterflies, huge dragonflies and bright blue damselflies. Be sure to stop in the visitor centre beforehand to get very useful information about the reserve from the friendly volunteers and have a great value mug of tea or coffee. All the proceeds go towards maintaining the reserve.
