I was exploring the area as a newly arrived resident and stumbled upon this beauty. Gorgeous hideaway for walks, quiet moments by the water, wildlife and fresh air. So quiet, even though it's just next to some relatively busy roads.
If you're a nature lover or indeed looking for some peace and tranquility then look no further. Recommend a picnic on a sunny day and look out for the butterflies.
LOVELY.
Cafe and toilet facilities as well as parking.
Brilliant experience going to look at all the wild fauna, lovely birds and great views. Would recommend for anyone interested in bird watching.
School trip lots to see great experience for the children thoroughly enjoyable trip enjoyed by children and staff alike.
A great place to visit whether to walk the dog or for bird watching. There are plenty of gravelled paths so you don't have to get too muddy. There are also hides to sit in and watch the bird life, at the end is a very nice Visitor Centre with refreshments and toilets.
This nature reserve lives up to its name, with a good variety of wildlife, particularly birds and insects. Very popular with wildlife photographers. There is an excellent visitors centre and also an education centre. The weekly nature walks (Thursday mornings at 10,30, I think, starting at the visitors centre) are excellent. Highly recommended!
