What an amazing experience we had here. We stayed in the Camelot Suite and just didn't want to leave. It was so very cozy, welcoming, relaxing and special. Ian , the owner was kind enough to show us around the other Suites and they were all amazing. We went into the village to eat, and were spoilt for choice. I highly recommend the Wizards Thatch and will definitely be returning again.

Room Tip: Any of the three suites would not disappoint.

While raising my children and their enchantment with stories of Knights and Wizard's whom traveled the London Road, I had always wondered what it would be like to travel that road.
In planning a visit to Alderley Edge the opportunity came and found myself sitting in "The Merlin Suite" of Wizards Thatch.
Could that really be Merlin and Arthur coming through the door going through the days adventures? it was easy to believe!
Will be returning often

We stayed for 2 wonderful relaxing days in the Wizardry Suite which was so clean considering all the wonderful oddments that fill the downstairs, very peaceful and in an excellent location for the cafe's and restaurants which were also of a good standard, will be making a return trip in a few months, would recommend to anyone for a change.

My husband and I spent the night after our wedding here and were not disappointed. It truly is a romantic retreat and we had the best night's sleep in months in the 7 four poster foot bed in the Camelot suite. The last minute breakfast hamper ticked all boxes and we really felt like we had escaped to somewhere magical for the night. Our lovely friends had arranged a surprise bottle of champagne with Ian's help and being so close to the centre of Alderley Edge (though you wouldn't know as soon as you stepped through the door) we were able to pop out for dinner before returning to our romantic hideaway. We'd love to go again some time.

My husband and two teenagers stayed in the Camelot Suite between Christmas and New Year.
It was my Christmas present, as my favourite show is Four in a Bed.

Ian was fantastic, showed us around, gave us information about the surrounding areas and where to eat and even lent us the dvd's so that the rest of the family could watch the Wizards Thatch on the show, which my boys really enjoyed.

We had a walk to the chip shop, which was top notch and took them back to the cottage to eat. We also had a takeaway breakfast from the Village Cafe which was also supurb.

The Camelot suite was fabulous, everything from the bedding to the towels is of the most luxurious quality. You can see that Ian really does offer the best quality of everything.

The boys loved having their own space, whilst my husband and I had the Four poster, which was huge.

Pricey, but worth every penny!

My husband and I have just returned from Wizard's Thatch, after a truly inspiring stay. We were looking for something a little bit different and we were absolutely thrilled on arrival. The building is as if it has escaped from a fairytale, with exposed beams and a terrific foliage-smothered thatched roof. We had the pleasure of staying in the Camelot suite on our first night, and then the Merlin suite on the second. Both suites were fantastic, clearly maintained to the very highest standard, and filled with interesting historical material to discover.

We brought our dog along and had a very lovely afternoon walking in the woods high above the village. Alderley Edge is a very lovely part of the world and we found the people we met friendly and welcoming.

Thanks for such a lovely break. We were truly amazed at just how fantastic Wizard's Thatch is, and we can't wait to come back soon.

We stayed for two nights in the Merlin suite between Christmas and New Year. The suite was amazing, so unique and quirky. Alderley edge high street is literally a 30 second walk away with an abundance of lovely bars and restaurants. Many thanks to Ian, who whilst clearly very busy, still made time to show us around the other suites. This is a really special place and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something that little bit different. We can't wait to return.
